As we enter April, we are stepping into an important time of the school year. Before our end-of-year celebrations begin, students will participate in our final progress monitoring assessments on April 21st and 23rd. This is an opportunity for us to measure the academic growth each student has made since the beginning of the year in August. We are incredibly proud of the hard work our students have shown. They have been focused on mastering grade-level standards, setting academic goals, and pushing themselves—and each other—to achieve at high levels. We ask for your continued partnership during these final weeks. Consistent routines make a difference. Please help ensure your child is at school every day, on time, and continues reading at home. Daily attendance is critical—learning happens when students are present and engaged.
One of the “secrets” of this time of year is that while we are wrapping up the current grade level, we are also beginning to prepare students for what’s ahead. Teachers are introducing skills and concepts that will set students up for success in the next grade—along with, of course, some well-deserved end-of-year fun.
