CRPS Chronicles
April 24, 2026
Dear Conover Road Primary School Families,
We have had such special, community-centered events over the past couple of weeks. It was an honor for us to celebrate the children of our Military members in our Purple Up Day celebrations on April 15th. Military children were first recognized at a special district-wide breakfast and later in the day we hosted a school wide meeting that allowed the children to receive certificates and be recognized by their peers.
This week allowed us to understand the importance of keeping our beautiful planet healthy and clean as children learned about Earth Day. Students are inspired to plant gardens, conserve water, and to start a recycling campaign to protect our world. Yesterday allowed many of our students to visit their parents and family members at work. Students are excited to share their pictures and mementos from their special day at work and are helping to share information about potential careers. Staff members also loved showing off our school and students to our own families. It was a great day of connections and school spirit!
On Wednesday, April 29th, we have an incredible guest coming to our school! David Biedrzycki, a real, published author will be visiting with our students to talk about writing, storytelling, and how books come to life. Children will have a chance to learn about the publishing and digital illustrating process and will even get to create a character for our school! Children may order books in advance of the visit. See order form below.
We will also be proud to welcome former student and published Illustrator, Ethan Lenza to our school on Thursday, April 30th. Ethan will share his experiences of how his neurodivergence actually became an opportunity to showcase his artistic and creative talents. He will guide our first graders in a directed drawing activity and speak about his experiences overcoming challenges with autism. Ethan is inspiring, talented, and honest and we know that this will be a great opportunity to end Autism Awareness Month as our students better understand how autistic individuals contribute positively to our school and community.
Kindergarten Registration for the 2025-2026 School Year is underway! In order for your child to be included in an upcoming Kindergarten Preview event, please make sure to register your child by April 30th. Please note that children must be five years of age on or before October 1st. Children who will be six years of age on or before October 1st will be placed in first grade.
Our country is celebrating 250 years! To join in the fun, the CNBOE is hosting contests for students to showcase their love for America. See the contest information guidelines below.
