Students of the Month Program
Each month, we celebrate outstanding high school seniors who exemplify leadership, perseverance, and a commitment to making a positive impact. These students stand out for their dedication to learning, involvement in school and community, athletic achievements, service to others, or their ability to rise above challenges while staying focused on their education. The Student of the Month program highlights seniors who embody integrity, compassion, and a genuine desire to make a difference. TVUSD once again demonstrated its strength in student innovation and cybersecurity at the Inland Empire Mayors Cyber Cup (Mayors Cup) on Saturday, April 25, 2026.
This year, TVUSD students delivered an outstanding performance across both divisions. In the high school competition, Great Oak High School earned first place, which ensures that the Mayors Cup trophy will remain on display at Temecula City Hall for the fourth consecutive year! Chaparral High School placed third and Temecula Valley High School finished seventh. In the middle school division, Bella Vista Middle School was well represented, with two teams earning recognition - one placing third and another honored as Best New Team.
The Mayors Cyber Cup is a regional event designed to build cybersecurity awareness and opportunity by bringing together students, educators, businesses, and community leaders. More than a competition, it serves as a platform to connect student talent with industry needs, highlight the growing importance of cybersecurity across all sectors, and promote meaningful career pathways in this critical field.
This year’s results build on a strong track record for TVUSD in the competition. Since first participating in 2022, district teams have consistently earned top placements, including multiple first- and second-place finishes by Great Oak and Temecula Valley high schools. While the event did not take place in 2024 due to organizers being unable to secure funding, TVUSD’s continued success in 2025 and now again in 2026 reflects the strength and consistency of its cybersecurity programs.
TVUSD is proud of all participating students and grateful to the advisors and staff who support these opportunities. Congratulations to this year’s teams for representing the district with excellence.

Eleven outstanding seniors from TVUSD were recently recognized among Riverside County’s top scholars at the 20th Annual Student Academic Awards, hosted by the Riverside County Office of Education on Tuesday, April 21, 2026.
The annual celebration honored 166 graduating seniors representing 86 public high schools across the county, students who exemplify academic excellence, leadership, and dedication throughout their K–12 journey.
“These students are living proof of the Riverside County Office of Education pledge that ensures our graduates are prepared for college, the workforce, and civic responsibility,” said Riverside County Superintendent of Schools Dr. Edwin Gomez. “These top scholars and leaders are a shining example of why the future is bright for our region, state, and nation.”
Each high school selects one to three students based on criteria such as grade-point average, class rank, extracurricular involvement, and community service. This makes the recognition one of the most prestigious academic honors in Riverside County.
TVUSD is proud to celebrate the following students for this distinguished achievement:
- CHS: Christopher Persechini, Justin Tran, Tony Yang
- GOHS: Divyamsu Nallamothu, Chloe Tan, Charles Zhang
- TVHS: Lila Deinhammer, Jordan Marlbrough, Rocco Sheridan
- RVHS: Gena Amanonce
- SNHS: Lucie Hoang
In addition, Lila Deinhammer of Temecula Valley High School received special recognition as a Riverside County Exceptional Graduate Award and Scholarship recipient, an honor given to a select group of students for their outstanding academic achievement. Lila received a $1,000 scholarship to be used for post-secondary education.
These exceptional students represent the very best of TVUSD, demonstrating not only academic excellence, but also leadership, perseverance, and a commitment to making a positive impact in their schools and community.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to these seniors and their families, as well as our dedicated educators who have supported them along the way. Their achievements reflect the strength of our schools and the bright future ahead for our graduates.
