Superintendent's Letter
Dear Bristol Township School Community,
Happy holidays to everyone in the Bristol Township School Community! I hope this message finds you well as we head into winter break.
This newsletter highlights holiday spirit around our schools, welcomes Brookwood's new Assistant Principal, and features many positive stories from our Athletic Hall of Fame ribbon cutting to esports in Armstrong's Verizon Innovative Learning Lab.
We look forward to welcoming back our students, refreshed and reinvigorated, on Monday, January 5, 2026.
Sincerely,
Michael Nitti
Superintendent of Schools
Showcasing Holiday Spirit
Christmas Ornaments and Phillies Magnets
Shoutout to Korey Brown and Kaydence Soffel, two of the top sales students, who met with Assistant Superintendent Dr. Polzer to pitch student-run business products.
Christmas ornaments and Phillies P magnets were created in partnership with the Engineering Capstone program and sold by Intro to Business students. All proceeds support student incentives, DECA trips, and the Capstone Battle Bot competition.
It's great to see real-world learning in action!
Winter Concerts
All of our schools held Winter Concerts, featuring several holiday songs to showcase students' musical talents and hard work!
Baking Italian Desserts
Honors Italian 2 students baked traditional Italian holiday desserts including biscotti, struffoli, tiramisu, and lemon ricotta cake. Yum!
Ugly Sweater Day
Holiday spirit was in full swing when students and staff rocked their best "Ugly Sweaters" at Brookwood!

Academic All American Award
Congratulations to Nilufer Bektas for winning the Academic All American award from the National Speech & Debate Association. With more than 141,000 student members, fewer than 1% of students earn this award each year.
Bektas, a senior at Truman and president of the Speech and Debate Club, had to compete often and place high at tournaments. She’s competed at nationals in Chicago, Illinois; Des Moines, Iowa; and Louisville, Kentucky.

Donating to the Homeless
In the spirit of giving, Mill Creek staff participated in an optional fundraiser to support families experiencing homelessness. Through their generosity, staff donated $550 to Advocates for the Homeless and Those in Need (AHTN). This organization provides critical services, including Code Blue emergency shelter, free shared meals, daytime shelter, showers, laundry services, and transportation to medical and community appointments.
Inspired by the fundraiser, Joseph Abrams, Jr., a kindergarten student at Mill Creek, chose to donate his $50 Artist of the Week gift card, bringing the total donation to $600. This contribution can provide six nights of emergency shelter for a homeless family and transportation for four guests to a Code Blue shelter.

Food Service Department Updates
Round Up at the Register
Starting January 1 at the Levittown Giant (4001 New Falls Rd.)
BTSD is once again proud to be part of the GIANT Feeding School Kids initiative! From January 1 – March 31, you can round up at the register to support our school district’s efforts working to eliminate childhood hunger.
Through this initiative, BTSD and other public school districts can use funds to support meal programs to expand food distribution programs, create on-campus food pantries and gardens, supply extra weekend meals, and eliminate outstanding student meal debt.
Through last year's program, BTSD received $8,071.21 for our food service department. Let's raise even more in 2026!
Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program Grant
For the fifth consecutive year, the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) awarded Keystone Elementary School with grant funding under the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP).
“We are excited to bring this program to Keystone once again and promote fruit and vegetable consumption for our youngest learners,” said Brandon Lang, food service director of the Bristol Township School District.
Keystone Elementary School is the only Bucks County school to receive this grant for the 2025-2026 school year, as well as the previous two school years. The grant, totaling $72,800, will be used to fund fresh fruit and vegetable samples three times per week. This program is separate from the fruits and vegetables that are provided at breakfast and lunch.
Beyond nutrition, the program also fosters student skills.
“Our autistic support classes enjoy preparing the carts and delivering the fruits and vegetables to each classroom,” said Lang. “It gives students a responsibility to be proud of, and all students are excited to try the new fruits and vegetables being delivered.”
