Letter from the Board of Directors
Congratulations to all the groups who performed at the WGI Regional last weekend! Next up is the final regular season show at Longmont High School.
In this newsletter there are several VERY IMPORTANT announcements, and just a couple of articles to help guide the final push of the season.
Best of luck to all the performers and staff as you take the floor for the final RMPA regular season show this coming weekend!

RMPA News and Reminders
- Please keep in mind that there is NO CONDUCTING of an ensemble allowed from outside the performance area. From the official WGI Rulebook:
4.3.4 During a performance, non-performing personnel may not coach, cue, etc., any participants, trigger any audio events, or control any wireless lighting or robotic events from outside the competition area. As per rule 4.3.1 and 4.3.3, staff members may communicate via text message with a designated participant controlling the sound system, lighting or robotics. PENALTY: One point (1.0) to Disqualification at the discretion of the Timing and Penalties judge
- Please talk with your students (and families) about how to act during performances. We have had several instances this season of people standing up and walking around in the middle of performances, blocking spectators and judges from seeing the shows. We also had complaints of some students making rude and disparaging comments towards/about other ensembles in the stands. We have put together this 1-pager (also found in the 2026 RMPA Handbook), please share and encourage your students/families to read it closely.
- Please also encourage your parents to double check performance times. There were some issues at the Regional with spectators not knowing when their group would perform. For all RMPA shows, schedules will never be moved earlier in the day, and can always be found on rmpa.org.
- Directors should have received an email about the Esprit de Corps voting for this season. Please make sure to have it filled out by Friday, March 27.
