LEARN MORE ABOUT THE CLC!
What does the Community Learning Centers have to offer?
Sioux Falls School District partners with community providers in a Community Learning Centers model for out-of-school time and summer enrichment programs. The collaborative program, located in elementary schools, provides a safe, licensed environment for students with embedded learning opportunities, enhancement activities, and a focus on developing skills that will last a lifetime.
School-based out-of-school time and summer enrichment programs are managed by a Community Partner and supported by a governing structure within the Sioux Falls School District. The programs follow a unified standard for operating to ensure consistency and continuity among locations.
The complementary learning environment provides exceptional quality care while enhancement activities and interest clubs offer students opportunities to engage in STEM, sports, dance, cooking, life-skill development, and more. Homework help and directed tutoring programs extend learning beyond the school day.

- The MyProcare website is different than the Procare app that you may be using to electronically sign your child out of the CLC program. Re-enrollment can ONLY be processed on the MyProcare website.
- Since MyProcare is a website, not an app, it will work best on a desktop or laptop. Some mobile devices may experience issues.
- You may have to clear your cache and cookies on your device if you are still experiencing issues.
- To be sure that the enrollment process goes smoothly for your family, we would suggest that you visit the MyProcare website prior to re-enrollment to set up your log in information, if you have not already done so.
How to enroll a child that is NOT CURRENTLY ENROLLED into the CLC:
THESE STUDENTS WILL NEED TO BE ENROLLED VIA A GOOGLE FORM - not on the MyProcare website for currently enrolled students.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Is there a payment due from my family at time of enrollment?
UNABLE TO PAY THE FEE? If a family is unable to pay this fee, please contact the CLC office and additional options will be available to you.
What if I will be sending my child to a school that is not in my home attendance area? What CLC site will they attend?
Students may attend the CLC program at their Home Attendance Site or at their Specialized School.
Transportation will not be provided by the CLC from one location to another and parents/guardians are responsible for seeking and paying for any transportation. If a child will be riding a School Bus Inc. bus to their Home Attendance Site, please note that the CLC is not responsible for the student until the student enters into the school building and is signed into the CLC program by a CLC staff member. Parents/guardians are responsible for their child prior to the child entering the building.
If a family chooses to open enroll to a different school other than their Home Attendance Site or a Specialized School, CLC enrollment will only be offered at the school they will be attending during the school day.
If I cancel care prior to the program starting, will I still be charged?
SUMMER DEADLINE TO CANCEL CARE: You must notify the Community Learning Centers Office office by Friday, May 9, 2025 if you need to cancel your Summer Care enrollment. If the office does not receive notification by this deadline, you will be responsible for the first biweekly fee due on Friday, May 23rd.
SCHOOL YEAR DEADLINE TO CANCEL CARE: You must notify the Community Learning Centers Office office by Friday, August 1, 2025 if you need to cancel your 2025/26 school year enrollment. If the office does not receive notification by this deadline, you will be responsible for the first biweekly fee due on Friday, August 15th.
If I transfer my child's school day location, will my child's CLC location also transfer?
If your child will be transferring to a new school, you must notify the CLC Enrollment Department. Transfers are subject to availability at the CLC site, at the time of the transfer. It is not guaranteed that we will be able to accommodate a transfer request. If the Sioux Falls School District amends boundary lines and a transfer to a new school is required, then the transfer request will be granted.
What happens if I do not enroll or the program fills to capacity during the priority enrollment period?
Call the CLC Office and we will add your family to the waitlist. If a spot opens up we will then contact you to offer enrollment.
At times we may not be able to accomodate all currently enrolled students, and their incoming kindergarten siblings, even if an attempt is made to enroll during the priority period. Why? Some years, our program will only have a handful of 5th graders leaving the program, but we may have many current families wanting to enroll an incoming kindergarten sibling in the program. If this would happen, and we would fill prior to a family enrolling, we will offer a spot on the waitlist and contact families to offer enrollment if a spot does open up.
Will I receive confirmation after an application for enrollment has been completed?
How do I apply for Tuition Assistance? When can I apply?
A separate application form must be submitted when applying for Tuition Assistance. It is NOT part of the enrollment application.
If applying for a scholarship for the 2025 Summer Program, you may apply for Tuition Assistance after submitting the enrollment application.
If applying for a scholarship for the 25/26 School Year Program, you may apply for Tuition Assistance between April 1st and May 31st.
PLEASE NOTE: Tuition Assistance may be available for qualifying families. Scholarships are first come, first served. They are not guaranteed and you must qualify to receive a scholarship. Families must re-apply for a scholarship each school year. If a family qualifies for a school year scholarship, that scholarship would also cover the following summer programs' tuition fees. We do accept Child Care Certificates for families that have been approved through the State of South Dakota, Department of Social Services.
Are paper forms available if I do not want to enroll electronically? What languages are the paper forms available in?
Paper enrollment forms are available the Instructional Planning Center, located at 201 E 38th Street during normal business hours.
Paper forms are available in the following languages: English, Spanish, Swahili, Kunama, Amharic, and Nepali.
