Mustang Message

A Message from Ms. Quinney
Mustang Families,
Every Monday I do morning announcements with the students and I teach them a new breathing technique they can use to help calm themselves down. Ask your child to show you one of their favorites!
Now that we have learned lots of ways to breathe and calm down, I am going to start talking to the students about their future school success through reinforcing the PfISD Profile of a Learner traits. The PfISD Profile of a Learner outlines the essential attributes and skills needed for enrollment, enlistment, or employment, and that our students will develop their educational journey, ensuring they are equipped for success beyond graduation. I know graduation seems a long time away for our students but learning these key attributes in an age-appropriate way now sets them up for future success. The attributes are:
- Lifelong Learner
- Resilient Leader
- Collaborative Problem Solver
- Proactive Communicator
- Globally-Conscious Discoverer
- Empowered Wellness Advocate
- Ethical Innovator
I'm excited to start discussing these characteristics with the students and hope you will hear about some of them at home!
Does this sound like something you are interested in being a part of? We still need more male mentors for our Adopt a Classroom project. If you missed the meeting but are interested in learning more, please email me! We'd love to partner with you.
Thank you,
Carrie Quinney
