At Myers, we believe character development helps our students grow into kind and respectful individuals. Throughout the year, we will highlight the Six Pillars of Character, recognizing one student from each classroom every nine weeks who demonstrates that pillar through their choices and actions.

Our first pillar is Trustworthiness! Being trustworthy means being honest, dependable, and reliable. We encourage our Myers Eagles to show honesty and integrity each day as they soar with good character!

En Myers, creemos que el desarrollo del carácter ayuda a nuestros estudiantes a convertirse en personas amables y respetuosas. A lo largo del año, destacaremos los Seis Pilares del Carácter, reconociendo cada nueve semanas a un estudiante de cada aula que demuestre dicho pilar a través de sus decisiones y acciones.

¡Nuestro primer pilar es la confiabilidad! Ser confiable significa ser honesto, responsable y digno de confianza. ¡Animamos a nuestras "Águilas de Myers" a mostrar honestidad e integridad cada día mientras se elevan gracias a su buen carácter!

On October 2, all NISD students and staff will have the opportunity to participate in the District’s anti-bullying initiative by signing a Decision of Respect. This important activity supports our commitment to creating a safe, respectful, and healthy school environment where every student can thrive. We encourage families to talk with their children about the importance of respect and kindness both at school and at home.

El 2 de octubre, todos los estudiantes y el personal del NISD tendrán la oportunidad de participar en la iniciativa antibullying del Distrito firmando una Decisión de Respeto. Esta importante actividad respalda nuestro compromiso de crear un ambiente escolar seguro, respetuoso y saludable donde cada estudiante pueda prosperar. Animamos a las familias a hablar con sus hijos sobre la importancia del respeto y la amabilidad tanto en la escuela como en casa.

On this day, we wear blue to show that we support kindness and respect for everyone. It’s a simple but powerful way to say, “Bullying has no place here!” 💙 Let’s all Blue Up and make our school a safer, friendlier place!

En este día, nos vestimos de azul para demostrar que apoyamos la amabilidad y el respeto hacia todos. Es una forma sencilla pero contundente de decir: "¡El acoso escolar no tiene cabida aquí!". 💙 ¡Vestámonos de azul y hagamos de nuestra escuela un lugar más seguro y acogedor!

Red Ribbon Week is a national campaign that promotes healthy, drug-free lifestyles for students and families. To support this important message, our school will be hosting fun dress-up days throughout the week to encourage positive choices and raise awareness. We invite you to join us in reinforcing these messages at home as we work together to keep our kids safe and substance-free!

La Semana del Listón Rojo es una campaña nacional que promueve estilos de vida saludables y libres de drogas para estudiantes y familias. Para apoyar este importante mensaje, nuestra escuela organizará divertidos días de disfraces durante la semana para fomentar decisiones positivas y crear conciencia. ¡Los invitamos a unirse a nosotros para reforzar estos mensajes en casa mientras trabajamos juntos para mantener a nuestros niños seguros y libres de sustancias!
