Car Drop Off

It is our goal to make car-drop off and pick up as smooth and safe as possible! Drivers are asked to pull their cars all the way up to the stop sign or as close as you can to the car in front of you. Please take time to teach your children how to buckle and unbuckle independently - this keeps the line moving.

If your child uses a car seat, please ensure that the car seat is on the passenger side of the vehicle. Adults should remain in their cars while a staff member helps your child exit on the school-side of the lane. Students should be ‘ready to exit’ once the vehicle doors are opened. Thank you for helping us keep our car line safe, speedy, and stress-free for our entire Liberty family!

Daily Arrival & Dismissal

School doors open at 8:00 a.m. each morning and the tardy bell rings at 8:10 a.m. If a student arrives late to school, the child is asked to head to the main office to sign-in and pick-up a tardy pass before heading to class. Dismissal is at 2:45 p.m.

Harvest Party & Parade

Harvest Day activities and parade will be held on Friday, October 30th. Wearing a costume is completely optional. If your child chooses to wear a costume, they should come to school in the morning already dressed in their costume. Weather permitting, parents are invited to watch the costume parade beginning at 8:35 a.m. on the playground (behind the school). If it rains, we will communicate with you that the outside portion of the parade will be canceled. If you do not hear from us, please know that the parade will continue as planned.

For any student that chooses not to dress-up and/or participate in the costume parade, they are invited to visit the library during the parade time. As mentioned above, wearing a costume is completely optional and students do not need to give anyone a reason why they are choosing not to wear one.

For students who do dress-up, the costume may not include any of the following:

  • Violent language or images (no blood or anything too scary)
  • Weapons (including plastic, toy)
  • Hate speech or language/images that create a hostile or intimidating environment
  • Students are not permitted to wear masks.

If a student wants to change after the parade, they should wear street clothes under their costume so all they would have to do is remove the costume instead of using a restroom.

Teachers will communicate with families if there are additional details to share about the day regarding activities inside the classroom.

FREE Thanksgiving Meal from the Worthington Presbyterian Church

Every year, Worthington Presbyterian Church helps the Worthington Community by providing a Thanksgiving ‘box meal’ for families who may need a little help during the holiday season. The box meal includes a frozen turkey, bag of potatoes, canned vegetables, gravy , stuffing mix, brownie mix, fresh fruit, butter, and a gallon of milk.

If your family could benefit from receiving a Thanksgiving meal, please contact Mrs. Roberts, our school counselor, at (614) 450-5200 or email her at rroberts@wscloud.org. Liberty has a set number of meals, so it’s first come first served. Families are asked to pick up the food on Tuesday November 24th (the last day of school before Thanksgiving break) between 11:00 - 3:00.
