Welcome to MES!
2022-2023 School Year
We are glad you are at MES!
I will try to keep everyone updated on news and events throughout the year using this additional format as well as Remind messages, all calls and our social media platforms. You can find all the links on our school's main webpage as well as linked in this newsletter.
Transcript of the August 28th All Call Message
The 22-23 school year starts tomorrow, Monday august 29th. MES staff has been working hard the last couple of weeks and we look forward to welcoming everyone back.
The building opens at 7:30 am and we dismiss at 3 pm.
Breakfast and lunch are free for all students again this year. However if students want to purchase snacks or extras, then please make sure you put money on their school accounts through the online program at family.titank12.com. Likewise you can pay your child’s $15 tech fee online at k12paymentcenter.com.
Please make sure you send students with a water bottle as they are allowed to carry those with them throughout the day. Our water fountains have refill stations as well.
Students have recess every day and PE a few times each week depending on their team schedule, so please make sure students wear appropriate shoes.
If your student rides a bus, then please make sure they are at the bus stop a few minutes early and have patience during the first week or so as routes are finalized and become routine.
Be on the lookout for information about PTO spirit wear orders and follow PTO and MES on Facebook and Twitter. You can also sign up for remind messages from the school and buses. All of those links and information are on our website.
Thank you, have a wonderful evening and again we look forward to welcoming everyone back to MES Monday, August 29th.

Ways to get involved at MES
Parents please look for ways to get involved at MES. We are coming back from the pandemic and we look forward to the most normal year we have had in several years now. For 4th graders, this could be the first full year of school they have experienced since starting school in the fall of 2018.
We will schedule volunteer training dates in the near future so that parents can go through this process and be able to volunteer for activities during the year. I would like to get the first couple of weeks under our belt first. When I schedule it, it will be announced in time for parents to make arrangements to attend. I will also try to do a couple of trainings to better accommodate work schedules.
PTO is always looking for additional participants to help support them as they support our school. Please visit the PTO Facebook page to contact them. Here is the link to their page.
