MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Franklin Students and Families,
We have had an amazing week of events highlighting our students academically and in the performing arts. Thank you to our dedicated teachers and staff that work tirelessly to engage students in our school community. On Wednesday our choirs enthusiastically performed in the Spring Choir Concert and on Thursday we had two Franklin firsts. We celebrated our seniors at the phenomenal Rainbow Graduation ceremony and we held our first AP Capstone Night where students showcased the research they have been working on in AP Seminar and AP Research courses. I learned so much from you last night! Below are some photos from the events.
On Friday, our seniors that attended Atkinson Elementary started off the day with a clap-out from the Atkinson students. The celebration continued in the afternoon with the Senior Recognition Assembly and Benjichella Festival in the front lawn.
I can’t believe there are only 2 weeks left of school and 3 days left with our seniors!
Have a great weekend. See you on Tuesday.

SENIOR CORNER
NEW: Final Senior Reminders
Please remind your seniors to settle any outstanding fees with our bookkeeper, Kristin DeBenedetto, and to return library books, chromebooks and chargers as soon as they are able, in order to ensure an efficient senior checkout on Thursday, May 28th. Additionally, we will be collecting Yondr pouches from seniors on the morning of Tuesday, May 26th. If anything is outstanding, seniors will not receive their clearance envelope, which includes their commencement tickets.
Additionally, please be advised that we will not be seating graduates alphabetically at the commencement ceremony, so keep your eyes on your student!
We are excited to celebrate with you on Tuesday, June 2nd!

Families of graduates, please take a look at the following links with helpful information pertaining to the commencement ceremony at Portland State University on Tuesday, June 2nd. Hard copies of these, along with graduation tickets, will be provided in the senior clearance envelopes that will be distributed to your graduates on Thursday, May 28th. We look forward to celebrating this momentous occasion with you!
