On Target for Success School Folders
Oops! I made an error last week!
I made an error last week when stating the date that your winter testing schedule is due in your school folder. I apologize.
Please upload a copy of the Winter Universal Screener Testing Schedule once approved by the principal by Tuesday, December 10th, 8:00 a.m. Schedules will be shared with Network Leaders to support with monitoring completion when the window opens January 8-31.
Folder Checks Continue
Please ensure that your school information is up to date. I will continue to email feedback based upon my review.

How can others support digital administration of iReady Literacy Tasks?
If teachers are departmentalized, will they be able to access all students in the
grade? Can all teachers see all students? Is there a way to digitally score if they
cannot score their own? Students can be placed into Report Groups and assigned to the
teacher administrating their task. (School administrators can set up report groups and/or reach
out to your i-Ready professional development specialist for assistance.)
TNPulse "Ghost Plans"
Ghost Plans are plans that show up on reporting, but do not actually exist.
A large number of plans appeared last week on our District B05 report with dates from previous plans while there may actually not be a current plan for the identified student or there is another plan entirely.
You can help by taking a look at PowerBi and reviewing the students with Tier 2/3 plans in TNPulse and making a list of students who do not actually have a plan in TNPulse, but show in PowerBi. You can email the list to me. We are working with the vendor to clear up the issue. DAIM can only report on the data received from the vendor so they may remain in PowerBi until the reporting issue is resolved.
Winter Written Expression
Written Expression Guidance will post by the end of the day, December 9th. I am still working to compile all links in a single document for your review.
Written Expression Scoring
Scores for the Winter and Spring 2025 Written Expression will be captured in the Written Expression Scoring PowerApp. The feature will be available in January 2025 to all identified MTSS Leads. MTSS Leads are responsible for entering the scores for each student into the platform. Training (virtual) will be available in January for new leads and as a refresher to those who desire to attend.
You will not need to transfer fall data to the Written Expression Scoring PowerApp as a copy should be in your school folder reflecting fall screening.
Expectations
- Please review the Written Expression Guidance document for the winter window. Grades 1-6 have two writing options to select from. Kindergarten must administer as written.
- The Written Expression Winter Universal Screener should be completed between January 8-31, 2025.
- Scores for Winter (and again in the Spring) will be entered into the Written Expression Scoring PowerApps tool.
- The writing should occur within one sitting and should not go through the editing process or peer review.
