The Den Dispatch

Welcome back to the second installment of The Den Dispatch. The Spring of 2026 has been incredibly busy and successful at Flower Mound High School.

FMHS is currently ranked 2nd in the UIL 6A Lone Star Cup standings. This prestigious award recognizes the school that earns the most points across UIL competitions in Fine Arts, Athletics, Robotics, Speech and Debate, and Academic events.

This accomplishment is a powerful reflection of the versatility, commitment, and success of our students across a wide range of programs. We are proud of the way our students continue to represent FMHS at the highest level.

FMHS Astronomy Planetarium

Astronomy continues to grow as one of the most popular courses at Flower Mound High School, with just over 200 students currently enrolled. This fast-growing program provides unique, hands-on learning experiences that bring the study of space to life.

One of the highlights of the course is a project where students create an inflatable planetarium. Inside, they carefully plot the coordinates of constellations, then step inside, turn off the lights, and recreate the night sky in a truly immersive way.

The learning doesn’t stop there. FMHS students take this experience on the road by visiting our feeder schools, where they showcase the planetarium and share their knowledge with younger students. It’s a great example of our students not only mastering content, but also serving as leaders and educators within our community.

2026 FMHS Rosette Spring Show

Over 100 FMHS students participated in the 2026 Rosette Spring Show, showcasing their talent and dedication across multiple dance styles. Performances were held over several nights in front of packed audiences, highlighting the hard work and commitment of our students.

The show was a tremendous success and a great example of the pride, passion, and excellence our students bring to the stage. FMHS is proud of the Rosettes and all of the students who contributed to such an outstanding performance.
