Message from the Principal
Dear Cornwall families,
When the unexpected comes, that's when you really know what kind of community you have. Cornwall School had a bit of plumbing bad luck on Thursday. Without working sinks or toilets, we could have been plunged into chaos. But our students and staff, with tremendous support from both district staff and Jenny Urban, principal of Bridport, handled the situation with aplomb.
I'm incredibly grateful for the good humor, words of support and flexibility of so many of the families I talked to as I directed pick-up traffic. And I could not be more proud of our team of students and staff at Cornwall School.
Nadya

Snapshots from Cornwall School
Skiing at Rikert
We had an exquisite day of skiing at Rikert Outdoor Center in Ripton this past Wednesday. Because of very cold temperatures, we made the decision not to bring the kinders for their first school ski trip. But in spite of single digits, the sun shone bright and there was no wind. It was a winter wonderland!
We had a group of high school skiers from the Green Mountain Valley School in Waitsfield join the 2nd and 5th graders for the first session, and several Cornwall family members volunteered in both the morning and afternoon. I actually only ever saw the back of the 5th graders because they sped off before I could get my mitten off to take a photo! The folks from Rikert were wonderful, and magical memories were made!
We will take two more trips to cross-country ski at Rikert this winter. This is such a special tradition!
