From the Principal's Desk
This week marks the end of our first marking period! It is a great opportunity for students to finish strong, reflect on their progress, and set goals for the second marking period. Whether your student is working to improve a grade or maintain the success they have already achieved, we encourage families to take a few minutes to review grades and have a conversation about what is going well and where improvements can be made.
This past week, Mrs. Millerov met with our freshman students to review their high school academic plans. She covered several important topics, including Career and Technical Education (CTE), dual enrollment, graduation portfolios, required credits, and more. Her presentation is included below, and we encourage freshman families to review it together. Even if your student is in another grade, the information can be a great starting point for conversations about future opportunities and planning for life after high school.

Rotary Student of the Month
Congratulations to Beal City High School senior Katelyn Schultz, our Mt. Pleasant Rotary Club Student of the Month!
Kate maintains a 4.0 GPA while excelling in athletics, music, and community service. A two-time All-State shot put athlete and our marching band’s head drum major, Kate is also active in NHS and volunteers throughout the community.
After graduation, she plans to attend CMU to study music education and flute performance.
Happening Around Campus
A special thank you to The Pines Golf Course for hosting Mr. Fletcher’s high school PE class for a round of golf on Wednesday! Students are currently learning about golf in PE and had a great opportunity to put their new skills and knowledge into practice on the course. We appreciate The Pines for providing this experience for our students!
Mr. Leppert's Earth Science class launched their rockets this week!
Side-by-Side and UTV Safety
We have several students driving side-by-sides and UTVs to school. Students must follow all applicable laws and school safety expectations when bringing these vehicles onto school property.
Students who are not legally permitted to operate these vehicles should not drive them to school.
Any student who operates a side-by-side, UTV, or other vehicle unsafely on school property may lose the privilege of driving or parking any vehicle on school grounds.
Please review these expectations with your student. Our priority is keeping everyone safe as students arrive at and leave school.
