Growth Parade & Harvest Party Parade - October 29th at 8:05
Mark your calendars to join us for our first quarter Growth Parade and our Harvest Party Day Parade. This year, they line up to be on the same day. You won't want to miss it! It starts promptly at 8:05. Guests are welcome to sit in the bleachers to enjoy the costumes and celebrate our first quarter growth.
Harvest Party Day Parade and Harvest Party Information
Harvest Party Parade is at 8:05 am on October 29th. Please note that the parade can be attended by everyone, but the Harvest Party is for Jonesburg Elementary students only. Please do not bring younger siblings, cousins, etc. Thank you for helping make this a special event for JBE Students.
PLEASE LET YOUR STUDENT'S TEACHER KNOW IF YOU PLAN TO ATTEND SO YOUR NAME CAN BE ON THE RSVP SHEET.
Fall Harvest Parties will be held from 2:30-3:30 on Thursday, October 29th. Your student's teacher should be reaching out soon for help! Please make sure you RSVP if you are planning to help with Harvest Parties so we know who to expect in our building.
Teachers may be asking for help from parents with snacks, crafts and activities for the Harvest Party. Parents will be allowed to drop snacks or activities off in the morning or during the day if you are unable to send it with your child. Please make sure it is labeled.
Snacks during the party need to be store-bought, pre-packaged and preferably healthy. Other items such as pencils, stickers, etc are always welcome. It is acceptable to send home a small treat bag of individually wrapped treats. Please refrain from sending items with icing as this could cause major messes on the bus.
Students will be allowed to dress in a school appropriate costume (read specifics later in this paragraph), wear a fall shirt, Wildcat shirt or come as themselves. We ask that the costumes are school dress code appropriate and that there are No Mask, No Inflatable Costumes, No Weapons (including swords & sabers), No Gore, and No Blood. Students will NOT be able to change during the day. If they are dressing up, please make sure it is something they can be comfortable in for the entire day and that it is not a distraction to learning.

Larry Richards Club Food Drive November 10th-13th
We will again be hosting the JBE Larry Richards Club Food Drive from November 10th - 13th. If you can, please consider sending in non-perishable items this week to help others in our community.
Larry Richards Club and the Jonesburg Optimist have adopted 18 families for Thanksgiving Baskets this year. If donations allow, we will have our “shop” set up to give people the opportunity to gather food to put in their pantry. Your donations help us make these baskets possible. THANK YOU for your support of Larry Richards Clubs efforts to serve our community. Below is a sample "shopping list" that the students use to pack the baskets. No students help in the actual pick up of baskets, just in the preparation stage.
Donations are encouraged November 10–13!
🦃 Thanksgiving meal ideas:
Boxed stuffing and instant mashed potatoes
Canned green beans, corn, sweet potatoes, and cranberry sauce
Canned gravy or gravy packets
Boxed macaroni and cheese
Canned pumpkin and evaporated milk
🥫 Everyday pantry ideas:
Pull-tab cans of soup, chili, beans, and pasta meals
Tuna or chicken pouches
Shelf-stable microwave meals, rice cups, and oatmeal cups
Peanut butter and crackers
Cereal, oatmeal, and granola bars
Fruit cups, applesauce pouches, and canned fruit
Shelf-stable milk
Easy-to-open foods and items that require little preparation are especially helpful! Please choose unopened items within their best-by dates.
Thank you for supporting our Jonesburg Elementary families. Every donation matters and makes a big impact! 🧡

Clothes & Shoes Recycling Bin at JBE
We have partnered with USAgain to collect clothes and shoes. This company will pay us 2 cents for every pound collected and will plant a tree (somewhere, not on our property) for every full bin. The bins are located on the southwest corner of our building. We will start spreading the word to the community soon and hope it will help the earth and raise a bit of money for our donation account.
