Kind Kindergarten News

Hello Families:

Our scholars are continuing learning our routines and procedures and making memories in kindergarten.

We have successfully completed our MAP Reading and our MAP Math Assessments for our fall session. Upcoming testing: KRA and Dibbles.

We are planning for our first field trip to Elliotts Oak Farm for October 22, 2025. I want to thank the Kindergarten families; we have received over 25 parents that are interested in chaperoning. As we get closer to the date; and the volunteer clearance has been checked; we will inform you if you have been selected to chaperone for our first field trip.

ELA: We are learning about the letters; “Pp” and “Cc”, identifying the letter and letter sounds. We will introduce nouns; plural and singular, and letter Pp blends.

Social Studies: We are learning about Hispanic Heritage Month and each class has a country they are learning fun facts about.

Math: We are finishing up topic 1 with identifying numbers 0-5. We will introduce greater than and equal towards the end of the week.

Science: We are continuing learning about forces of push and pull to make objects move, and explain that the amount of force that is used to make an object move depends on the object's weight.

***Friendly reminder: If your scholar is not feeling well, please keep them home. The beginning of the school year comes with colds, runny noses, sore throats, and scholars not feeling well. We are trying to keep from spreading germs to a minimum.
