Senior of the Week

Angelique Juson was nominated by her counselor, Ms. Orozco. "Every interaction with her is filled with positivity. She is one of my star students who continues to impress me with her ability to stay composed and graceful under pressure. I believe this strength has helped her grow into the confident leader she is today. I’ve met many students over the years, but Angelique truly has a special quality that makes her stand out. I have no doubt she will be successful in anything she pursues, and any school will be lucky to have her."

Athlete of the Week

Kim Phung was nominated by her cross-country coach, Mr. Ramirez. "Kim worked hard all year to move up from being 1st in JV at league finals last year, to being 7th overall on Varsity and finishing All League. Kim improved 90 seconds from her Junior year Personal Record and was one of the biggest reasons the girls won back-to-back league championships for the first time since 1983."

Cross Country Boys and Girls - League Champions! Cross Country Boys and Girls - League Champions!

Both the boys’ and girls’ varsity teams capped off an incredible season as league champions, earning the chance to compete for a return to the CIF Finals. The boys completed their third straight undefeated season—45–0 in league—and dominated with four runners in the top five and five All-League athletes: Jacob Juarez, Andrew Tai, Caleb Benjamin, Copernicus Yu, and Carlos Ronquillo. The girls matched that excellence with their second consecutive undefeated season—30–0 over two years—and placed six runners in the top twelve: Evelyn Barrios, Evie Kim, Kim Phung, Malana Wien, and Savanna Pablo. Jacob Juarez earned League MVP, winning two of the three league races. This season also featured major program milestones, including hosting the first-ever home 3-mile cross country race at Rowland on September 27th, a successful team training trip to Big Bear, and strong representation at the prestigious Clovis Invitational. A historic and unforgettable season for Rowland Cross Country.
