2026 California School Dashboard Results
Celebrating Progress and Strengthening Literacy
Our 2026 California School Dashboard is now available! This online resource helps families understand how schools are performing and where improvements are needed. At Abraham Lincoln Independent Study School, we have progress worth celebrating.
- Our graduation rate increased to 84.1%; an increase from the previous year by 7.7%
- Chronic absenteeism among students decreased to 15.6%, an improvement from the previous year by 8.9%
- The percentage of students considered prepared for college or careers increased to 13% - an increase of 7.8% from the previous year
We appreciate the hard work of our students, teachers, staff, and families in supporting student success!
At the same time, our Dashboard results show that we have important work ahead.
English Language Arts remains in the Red performance category, with students performing an average of 79.9 points below the state standard. Improving reading comprehension and writing is our highest instructional priority.
Reading and writing are essential skills in every subject, whether students are in elementary, middle, or high school.
Building on the instruction and literacy activities already underway, our teachers will provide live literacy instruction during morning meetings each week, helping students strengthen reading comprehension, vocabulary, and evidence-based writing.
Families, you are important partners in this effort! Please encourage your child to participate in morning meetings, read regularly, and discuss what they are learning. Thank you for your continued support as we work together to help every Falcon become a stronger reader, writer, and learner!
ABL Needs-Assets Assessment
Help Shape ABL's Future - Your Voice Matters!
At Abraham Lincoln Independent Study School, we want to make sure we are providing the best possible education and support for our students.
To help guide our school improvement efforts, we are conducting a Needs-and-Assets Assessment. Simply put, we want to learn what is working well, what challenges our students face, and what additional resources or services could help them succeed.
We are gathering input from parents, students, and staff. Students are completing surveys during their morning meetings, and staff members are also sharing their perspectives. The results will be compiled and reviewed by our School Site Council to help identify school priorities and guide decisions about using available funds. These decisions must address identified student needs, support effective, research-based strategies, and meet funding requirements. Our goal is to invest resources where they can make the greatest difference for students.
Parents and caregivers, we need your input! Your experiences and ideas are essential to understanding our students' needs. Please take a few moments to complete the survey below. Thank you for helping us make ABL an even better place to learn!

Important Campus Safety Update
Raptor Visitor & Event Management Launch
To ensure the highest level of safety for our students, staff, and visitors, Abraham Lincoln School will officially implement the Raptor VisitorSafe and EventSafe systems starting Monday, November 16.
While our core instructional program takes place remotely via Google Meet, our physical campus hosts families, visitors, and events daily. This launch brings our school into full alignment with visitor check-in procedures used across all Marysville Joint Unified School District (MJUSD) campuses.
What You Need to Know for Campus Visits
- Effective Date: Monday, November 16, 2026.
- Main Office Entry: All visitors, parents, guardians, presenters, and contractors must enter through the main front office before proceeding onto campus.
- Government-Issued Photo ID Required:
- Please bring a valid driverβs license, state ID, or passport every time you visit.
- Office staff will scan your ID to screen against secure databases (including sex offender registries) before granting entry.
- Wearable Badges: Once cleared, visitors will receive a printed Raptor visitor badge that must be worn and visible at all times while on campus.
- Sign-Out Mandate: Visitors must check out at the front desk upon completing their visit.
Streamline Your Visit with the RaptorSafe App & EventSafe
