Upcoming Events
Boo Bash
- Our school Boo Bash is on October 24th! Be sure to come out for a night of games, food trucks, trunk or treats and fun!
- Our Boo Bash Candy Contest starts now! Be sure to donate candy to your child's class and lets see which class can get the most!
Country Days Corn Maze Field Trip!
- Our Corn Maze field trip is on the 29th of October! If you would like to register for the chaperone lottery be sure to do so before October 1st on the UA activities page!
Pumpkin Day!
- Pumpkin Day for Kindergarten will be on October 30th! Be on the lookout for more information about this from your child's teacher or class room mom.
Community Helpers Field Trip
- Our Community Helpers Field Trip will be on November 4th!
Thanksgiving Program
- Our Thanksgiving program will be on Tuesday November 24th! Please be sure to look out for communication about this from your child's teacher!
What We Are Learning
Reading
- We will be continuing with UFLI by reviewing short vowel sounds and learning about adding letter -s to the end of CVC words.
- In Magnetic literacy we will be continuing with Unit 2 learning all about color in art!
Math
We will be wrapping up our 3rd unit in Reveal math and working on reviewing everything we have learned about numbers 1-10
Social Studies/ Science
- In Science we will be learning all about pumpkins!
Character
This month our character trait is Adaptability! We will be learning all about how to be adaptable and how to cooperate with each other. Be sure to check out the cooperation newsletter through character strong that is linked below!
Carpool Reminders
All Kindergarten students must be dropped off and picked up in South Carpool!
Carpool in the morning starts at 7am and ends at 7:30am for kindergarten. Please do not get out of your car to help your child in the morning. We have plenty of staff and volunteers to help get them out and to their classroom safely.
In the afternoon carpool for kindergarten starts at 2pm and ends at 2:30pm
If your child has a sibling in grades 6-12 they will be picked up in the second round of carpool that starts at 3pm and ends at 3:30pm.
It is imperative that if you are a part of the 2pm carpool you MUST get into the carpool line by 2:15pm at the latest. The first round of carpool stops at 2:30 pm and your child will be sent to emergency aftercare if they are not picked up before carpool ends.
We ask that you do not pick up early during recess from 12:40pm- 1:10pm
The latest you can pick up from the front office is 1:30pm

Ice Cream Days
If you want your child to participate in ice cream days please send in a dollar on their classes designated day, or pay for an ice cream card through the Boonli lunch app!

Extra Important Information
- Dress down days are every Friday! The best way to ensure your child gets to dress down is to prepay through the Union Academy Foundation website. If you do not prepay your child must bring in a dollar on Fridays to dress down.
- Please be sure to check My Payments Plus to pay for your yearly activity dues before the end of August!
- If your child is absent please fill out the form that is linked below!
Ways to help at home!
Kindergarten is the first big step in your students school career! Here are some things you can do to help your child succeed in kindergarten!
- Read with your child every night!
- Work on the UFLI Practice pages!
- Help them learn to tie their shoes and put on their jackets without help!
Let Grow Project!
