Marengo Valley School Newsletter
May 2026
MVS Families,
It is hard to believe we are in the final full month of the school year! May is always a busy and exciting time in our school as we celebrate student growth, continue meaningful learning, and enjoy special spring activities together. Our students have worked incredibly hard this year, and it is wonderful to see their progress shine.
As we head into these final weeks, we remain focused on learning, kindness, respect and finishing the year with pride. Thank you for your continued partnership and support—it makes a tremendous difference for our students and school community.
Please make sure to review the list of events we have coming up in May and the beginning of June. You will find that list below under Coming Up-Field Trips and More.
BUS Reminder: If your child needs to ride a different bus at the end of the day, please contact Lake Shore Bus Company (715-682-3669) directly to make those arrangements. For safety and routing reasons, we are unable to accept notes sent to school requesting bus changes.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in helping us keep all students safe.
May HSA Meeting: Tuesday, May 5 at 6:30-Please note this meeting is on Tuesday, not on Wednesday like it normally is.
Spring Testing: We will be finishing up our spring testing soon!

We are proud to share that Marengo Valley School has been named a School of Recognition for the 2024–25 school year as a High Impact School by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. The Wisconsin Schools of Recognition program honors Title I schools that are ensuring educational success for all students, especially among those facing economic challenges.
"This honor reflects the hard work, dedication, and heart of our students, staff, and families. Together, we are creating a learning community where every student grows, achieves, and feels valued," stated Principal Erickson. "Thank you to everyone who makes Marengo Valley such a special place to learn and belong."
Marengo Valley School is participating with the Round Up Program at Chequamegon Co-Op for the month of May! Over $1,000 was raised last year when MVS did this.
