This Week at Lincoln Elementary
Greetings SWAA Families
I am Dr. Damian Williams, and I am excited to serve as the new Principal of Sandtown Winchester Achievement Academy. I am originally from the small town of Elloree, South Carolina, where I learned the value of hard work, relationships, and community.
Over the past 10 years, I have had the opportunity to serve in many roles in education, including Assistant Principal, Instructional Coach, MTSS Coordinator, and both elementary and middle school math teacher. I truly love being an educator because I was blessed with amazing teachers and mentors who poured into me. Now, I consider it my purpose to pour into others and help students and adults become the best versions of themselves.
Outside of school, I enjoy fishing in the countryside and cooking for my family and friends. One saying I live by is, "Let my work speak for itself." I believe in leading with humility, working hard, and staying focused on what is best for children.
As your principal, my goal is to build a Culture of Achievement where our students are challenged and supported, our families feel welcomed and valued as partners, and our staff members are empowered to grow, lead, and thrive. I cannot wait to learn from and alongside this incredible community as we make SWAA a place where everyone belongs, and everyone achieves.
