Welcome back to an exciting new school year! We hope your summer was filled with sunshine, laughter, and special moments with family and friends. As we turn the page to this next chapter together, we are so grateful to have your family as part of our vibrant school community.

At our school, relationships are at the heart of everything we do. We believe that when students feel cared for, valued, and supported, they are empowered to achieve their very best. That begins with the strong partnerships we build between home and school. Our incredible team of educators and staff is ready to welcome your child with open arms, eager to inspire growth not only in academics but also in social and emotional skills that will serve them for a lifetime.

This year, we are continuing our commitment to our 5 Character Traits: Honesty, Responsibility, Respect, Self-Discipline, and Compassion. These traits aren’t just words on a poster, they are guiding principles our students live by each day. When combined with a strong work ethic, they prepare our learners to be exceptional citizens, and leaders, who will make a difference in the world.

Very soon, you’ll receive our family letter, which will include your child’s teacher assignment along with other important updates to ensure your school year gets off to a smooth and successful start.

Hello Cambridge Primary School community!

I am thrilled to join the family as your new assistant principal. After spending over 13 years as a 1st and 3rd grade teacher and serving as an administrative intern in the Anoka-Hennepin School District, I am excited to bring my passion for student success and learning to CPS. Outside of school, I am happily married with two wonderful sons and love spending quality time with them and their wives, diving into a good book, and enjoying the great outdoors.

Keep an eye out for your student's Welcome Letter in your mailbox next week. This letter will include your student's classroom teacher information, pick-up and drop-off information, and if you have a kindergarten student, your student's Kindergarten Entrance Week attendance days.

Teacher information will also be available for families to see in Skyward Family Access beginning the afternoon of Friday, 8/21.

Families are invited to our Open House on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, from 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm. This is a great opportunity for you and your student to meet your classroom teacher and see our school. Feel free to bring any school supplies with your child.

Our school website and C-I Schools mobile app are going to be your go-to places for staying in the loop all year long! We'll be posting regularly with building updates, reminders, celebrations, and all the important information families need to know.

There's a lot to keep track of before the first day of school, so we've put it all in one place for you! Our Back-to-School webpage is your go-to spot for the most up-to-date information, including school supply lists, open house dates and times, and the Bluejacket Blueprint, the district's weekly back-to-school update for families.

Be sure to check back often as new information is added. We want to make getting ready for school as easy as possible for our families!

As we begin the new school year, we want to share an update about our school calendars. To ensure the digital information we provide on our is accessible to all families and community members, our former printable, at-a-glance calendar is no longer posted on the district website.

Printed copies are still available at Back to School events, school main offices, and the Education Services Office.

Families can also find the most current school and district dates in the Events section of our websites and in the C-I Schools mobile app. Each school website includes building-specific events, while district-wide dates such as non-school days and holidays are also included.

To find your school calendar, visit c-ischools.org, select Schools, and choose your child’s school. If you are unable to find an event or information you are looking for, please feel free to reach out. We are always happy to help.

We have school supplies, winter gear, and personal care products available for students in need. Generous donors and local businesses have stepped up to support Cambridge-Isanti students. If you, or someone you know, need help with basic needs for a student, please fill out this confidential form.

Every volunteer contributes to the success of our learners and our staff. We have many volunteer opportunities throughout the school year for anyone willing to help. Some examples include take home projects, classroom opportunities, field trip chaperones, school events, and more. Please watch for an email from our Volunteer Coordinators later this month with more information about volunteering at our schools. We greatly appreciate our volunteers and we are looking forward to seeing you soon!
