It's hard to believe we are already approaching near the end of 2024! December will be a short, but busy month!
Thank you for helping our students and staff this year. Whether volunteering, attending events, or helping your child be successful. The partnership between home and school plays a critical role in ensuring the success of our students.
Holiday parties will take place on Friday, December 20th. Be on the lookout for information from your child's teacher.

Common Questions:
1. What is MAP Growth and what does it measure?
Unlike paper-and-pencil tests, where all students are asked the same questions and spend a fixed amount of time taking the test, MAP Growth is a computer-adaptive test. That means every student gets a unique set of test questions based on responses to previous questions. As the student answers correctly, questions get harder. If the student answers incorrectly, the questions get easier. The purpose of MAP Growth is to help educators understand where a student is academically, if they are growing over time, and where a student’s strength and opportunity areas are.
2. How often will my child take MAP Growth?
MAP Growth tests is given to students at the beginning, middle, and end of the school year.
3. What information will I receive from my child’s school?
MAP Growth Family Report. This report contains information and scores from a student’s most recent MAP Growth assessments. It’s a good idea to discuss results with teachers for a full understanding of what the information means and how they can use their child’s reading and math scores to identify resources that can support home learning.

PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports)
As Jaguars, we ROAR. We are Respectful, Organized, Accepting, and Responsible. At the beginning of the year, your students will be taught what this looks like in each area of the building.
Students can purchase items from our ROAR store on the PBIS Rewards app. The ROAR Store Hours will be Monday and Tuesday 8:00-8:40. The items will be delivered on Friday from 8:00-8:40. Students will also qualify to be entered into raffles based on how many points they earned. PK-2 will have monthly raffles and 3-5 will have quarterly raffles.
The pk- 2 raffles will be:
December: $25 dollar gift card of choice
January: Movie and Hot Coco Basket
February: Oversized stuffed animal
March: Game Night Basket
April: Outdoor Summer Basket
May: Bike or Scooter
The 3-5 will have a quarterly raffle:
Quarter 2: $50 dollar gift card of choice.
