Welcome Back, Tigers!

We are so excited to kick off the 2025–2026 school year with all of you! This year promises to be filled with meaningful learning, joyful experiences, and unforgettable memories. Please be sure to check the 2025–2026 RSUSD School Calendar or visit our Tamarack Elementary website for important dates, including Thanksgiving Break, Winter Break, and more.

Our first day of school is Wednesday, August 13th. To help ease the transition, parents are welcome to walk their child to the classroom during the first three days of school August 13-15. We kindly ask that families refrain from entering the playground or cafeteria areas during this time.

The first school day will begin with gates opening at 7:30 a.m. with dismissal at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 13th. For morning drop-off, we ask that all students enter through the main gate near the cafeteria. The gate by the cafeteria will open at 7:30 a.m.so please plan to arrive on time

2025-2026 Bell Schedule

We’re excited to share that student class schedules were mailed home on Wednesday, August 6th! For added convenience, schedules will also be sent electronically via ParentSquare beginning of next week. Each schedule includes your child’s assigned teacher and classroom number to help ensure a smooth and confident start to the school year. We can’t wait to welcome our students back!

When picking up and dropping off students, please drive with extreme caution, follow the signs and staff directions, and watch for children. Do not stop in the middle of the road and utilize all crosswalks for your child’s safety. Do not leave your vehicle at anytime empty in the pick up line to walk onto campus to pick up your child. For morning drop-off, we ask that all students enter through the main gate near the cafeteria. For afternoon pick up both gates outside the school will be open for student release.

All students will have access to breakfast and lunch for free on campus. Important Updates: Breakfast is now served in the cafeteria beginning Monday August 18th. It is important that students arrive on time.

Tamarack Elementary School follows the District’s minimum dress code for students. Please refer to the Tamarack Student Handbook for more information. Here is the link to the website with the information.

Students who walk and ride their bikes/skateboard to school are required to obey all traffic rules and use crosswalks. Children must cross streets at the intersections or at marked crossings. Riders must wear helmets and walk their bicycle or skateboard as soon as they come on campus. If a bike or skateboard is ridden to school, it should be parked and locked in the bicycle rack area. Electric bikes/scooters are not allowed anywhere on campus in order to stay in compliance with California Vehicle Code Section 21235(D). The school is not responsible for vandalized or stolen bicycles.

We are excited to announce that we are continuing with ParentSquare our school-to-home communication platform. This unified communications platform is designed to keep parents and guardians informed and encourage greater engagement and connection with our school and the district. It provides a safe way for district administrators, school principals, teachers, staff, and parents to:

• Share pictures and files

• See calendar items

• Sign up to volunteer

• Schedule parent-teacher conferences

• and much more . . . all in one centralized place!

All district, school, grade level and classroom information will be sent to your computer or phone via email and/or text. For even more convenience, download the ParentSquare app (available for free for iOS and Android devices).

Back to School Night – Tuesday, August 19th
We are excited to welcome our families to Back to School Night on Tuesday, August 19th from 5:15 PM to 6:00 PM! This is a wonderful opportunity for families to visit classrooms, meet our amazing teachers and learn more about the learning experiences planned for the year.

To kick off the evening, we invite you to join us for a Parent Information Meeting from 5:00 PM to 5:30 PM in the TES Cafeteria. During this time, we will share important details about the upcoming school year and answer any questions you may have. Our Tamarack teachers will be introduced at the start of the meeting, so be sure to arrive early!

We look forward to seeing you there as we launch a fantastic school year together!

Please join us for Donuts with Grown-Ups! Enjoy donuts with your child before their day starts Friday August 29th in the Tamarack Cafeteria. All Tamarack families are welcome.
