Forest School News (8.19.25)

School Hours
- 8:45 AM -- Students can start arriving and lining up on the blacktop.
- 8:55 AM -- Students enter the building and go to their lockers.
- 9:00 AM -- Students are in their classrooms and learning begins.
- Late Arrivals: School starts promptly at 9:00 AM. It is recommended that your child be dropped off before 8:55 AM so that they have enough time to go their their lockers, get water, and/or use the restroom before school starts. When students enter at 9:00 AM, not only are they considered tardy, but they are also missing learning.

Blacktop Use at Dismissal
Forest's playground is a great place to spend time after school! However, the blacktop area is used during dismissal as a bus lane, so it is critical that the Forest community practice safety first. To increase student and family safety during dismissal, please refrain from using the blacktop area if there is a bus in the bus lane.
Students should not use the blacktop when buses are present - this includes running, walking, rolling, etc. Once all of the buses have left, families are welcome to use the entire blacktop area in addition to the playground and field.

From 2:00-3:00 PM on Wednesday, August 20th, families of students in grades 1-5 are invited to meet their new teacher and drop off supplies to their new lockers. Afterwards, families are encouraged to head outside to the playground and blacktop for popsicles. Thank you to the PTC for providing a sweet treat!
