SG R-II Connection
Oct. 23, 2025 — Parents & Guardians Edition
Good morning, SG R-II families,
As we settle into fall, the crisp mornings and changing leaves remind us how quickly the semester is moving. Our hallways have been full of activity and excitement—from Homecoming celebrations to classroom projects and community events. We appreciate the way our families continue to stay engaged and connected—it’s that sense of community that makes Ste. Genevieve such a special place to learn and grow.
This week, we recognized National School Bus Safety Week. Our bus drivers led safety drills with students, and our buildings showed their appreciation by surprising our transportation team with treats and thank-yous. We’re grateful for the vital role our drivers play—not only in ensuring safety, but in being a steady, familiar presence that helps our students begin and end each school day.
Next week, we’ll join together once again for Red Ribbon Week. On Wednesday, we encourage everyone to wear red to show our shared commitment to a drug-free community. Local businesses and organizations are also invited to display red ribbons and participate alongside our students and staff. We appreciate our community partners who help make this week a meaningful reminder of the power of good choices and strong support systems.
As teachers and families come together for Parent-Teacher Conferences, I hope these conversations lead to continued growth and connection. Thank you for investing the time to celebrate progress, discuss goals, and strengthen the partnership that supports each student’s success.
Enjoy the beautiful fall days ahead and have a safe, restful extended weekend.

NATIONAL SCHOOL BUS SAFETY WEEK
🚌💚 It’s National School Bus Safety Week! Our bus drivers have been leading safety drills with students, and all week, our buildings have shown their appreciation by surprising our transportation team with treats and thank-yous.
We want to share a big thank-you to our bus drivers and aides who work diligently each day to transport our students safely to and from school. They’re often the first and last school personnel our students see each day, and their care and reliability make a lasting difference.
