Home of the Wolves!
Principal's Message
Green Meadows Families -
It is time to celebrate and brag on our Green Meadows students and staff! The State of Indiana just recently released last year's ILEARN scores. When we compare our results with the other elementary schools across Clinton County, our kids are right near the top... and in some areas, they’re sitting at the very top! These results are a wonderful reflection of the hard work our students are putting in each day and, just as importantly, the dedication of our teachers and staff who continue to work together to move every kid forward. Below is how our Wolfpack rates against other schools in the county.
📚 ILEARN Reading
- 3rd Grade: 2nd in the county — just 1.5 percentage points from 1st!
- 4th Grade: 2nd in the county
- 5th Grade: 3rd in the county
➗ ILEARN Math
- 3rd Grade: 🥇 1st in the county!
- 4th Grade: 3rd in the county
🏆 Combined ILEARN ELA & Math
- 3rd Grade: 🥇 1st in the county!
- 4th Grade: 2nd in the county
🔬 ILEARN Science
- 4th Grade: 3rd in the county
📖 IREAD-3
- 3rd Grade: 2nd in the county — just 0.6 percentage points from 1st!
If you are as proud of these scores as I am, I would encourage you to share them with your family and friends and help us spread the word about the great things happening at Green Meadows. Post about it online, share our school’s social media posts, tell a neighbor, mention it to your child’s coach or another parent, or simply brag about our kids when you’re talking with friends and family. If you know someone who has an outdated impression of Green Meadows, this is a great opportunity to help us tell a new story about who we are today.
Our kids and our staff have worked hard for these results, and they deserve to be celebrated! We’re proud of where we are, and even more excited about where we’re headed.
With gratitude,
Brandon Doub

Important Update Regarding ParentSquare
We know ParentSquare has been experiencing some hiccups since before the start of the school year, and we sincerely appreciate your patience as the ParentSquare tech team has worked to troubleshoot the underlying issues and provide our district team with next steps.
Part of that process now requires our front office team to manually review the PowerSchool Contact Management information for each of our 370+ students to help identify and correct the issues. This will take a little time, but please know that we are working through it as quickly and carefully as we can.
Thank you for your continued patience and understanding as we work to get everyone back up, running, and receiving the communications they need from Green Meadows!
SCHOOL CARNIVAL HAPPENING TOMORROW!
Our school carnival will take place Thursday, October 8 from 5-7PM and will begin this year's Fall Break with a bang! If you have not purchased wristbands, you can do so 'at the door' when you arrive. We look forward to seeing you and your family for a night of food, fun, and memory-making!
Thank You to Our Carnival Sponsors!
Door Decorating Contest - Help Needed!
We’re excited to kick off Quarter 2 after Fall Break with school spirit, creativity, and a whole lot of giving! Our teachers will be transforming their classroom doors for our School-Wide Door Decorating Contest, and we need YOU to help choose the winners!
ONE CAN = ONE VOTE!
Every canned or non-perishable food item donated can be used to vote for a classroom door. There is no limit to how many doors you can vote for—or how many times you can vote!
Families: Bring canned food with you to Parent-Teacher Conferences on Wednesday & Thursday, October 21 & 22, and place your donations outside the classroom doors you’d like to vote for.
Students: Bring canned or non-perishable food items to school during the week of October 19–23 to cast your votes and help support a great cause!
Who will have the winning door? Which classroom will collect the most votes? YOU get to be the judge of that!

Say Boo To the Flu!
Influenza or the Flu, is a contagious respiratory infection caused by the influenza or flu virus. It is often hard to tell the difference between the seasonal flu and the common cold. Both are respiratory illnesses. Vomiting and diarrhea are not the flu.
Flu Symptoms:
Sudden onset of illness
High fever
Extreme fatigue
Dry cough–sore throat
Headache
Body Aches
Chills
Cold Symptoms:
Slow onset of symptoms
Low grade fever or NO fever
Mild fatigue
Severe cough and runny nose or congested nose
NO headache
NO bodyache
Teach your child to cough in their sleeve, wash their hands frequently, get lots of rest and eat healthy.
Now is also the time to get a flu vaccine!!! Remember to keep your child home with a fever and they must be fever free for 24 hours without any medication to return to school.
Stay healthy!

Is it rude, mean, or bullying?
Those words get used interchangeably, but they do not mean the same thing. Teaching kids the difference helps them understand what happened, put language to it, and know what kind of support they may need next.
Rude behavior may be thoughtless or hurtful in the moment.
Mean Behavior is intended to hurt, usually happening once. .
Bullying involves intended, repeated behavior from one person.
October is Bullying Prevention month, which makes this a great time to have these conversations before situations escalate. The goal is never to minimize a child's feelings. Sometimes it can be hurtful without meeting the definition of bullying, every situation still deserves support, guidance, and follow up.
If there's anything I can do to support you or your child, please don't hesitate to reach out!

To ensure the safety of all students, any parent or guardian who wishes to work with students during the school day—including eating lunch with students, chaperoning field trips, or volunteering—must have a current background check on file with the district.
Background checks are valid for two years, so please check your status before planning to participate. If you need to complete or renew a background check, click the link below.
