2026 - 2027 at Lubbock - Cooper Central Elementary!
Online Registration
LCISD has now opened the online Annual Student Registration process for parents. This process allows you to update contact information, provide medical background, review district documents, and more. Annual Student Registration is mandatory for all LCISD students each school year, and must be completed by parents/guardians in order for students to receive schedules and teacher assignments for the upcoming school year. You should have received email notifications regarding completion of Annual Student Registration, and you are welcome to contact our campus office if you need any assistance at 806-993-2341.
Bus Riders
If your child needs to ride a bus on the first week of school, Annual Student Registration must be completed no later than 4:00 p.m. Friday, July 31st! Students for whom Annual Student Registration has not been completed by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, July 31 cannot be transported by bus during the first week of school.
Free or Reduced School Meals
Your child may qualify for free or reduced-price school meals through the National School Lunch Program (NSLP)! If you believe your household may be eligible for this benefit, please consider completing the NSLP application as part of Annual Student Registration. As a reminder, a student’s NSLP status is completely confidential, and qualifying families may receive additional benefits beyond free or reduced-price school meals. There is no penalty for applying, even if your household does not qualify.

NEW THIS YEAR: Tutorials Available on Elementary Campuses Beginning August 31st!
Beginning Monday, August 31st, all LCISD elementary campuses will offer a Tutorials period before regular instruction begins each school day. The Tutorials period is a time when teachers are available to provide targeted instruction and intervention for students in need of extra support. Not every student will need to attend Tutorials, and many students will only need to attend Tutorials periodically. Your child’s teacher will inform you when/if they recommend your child attend Tutorials.
Implementation of Tutorials means an adjustment to the way our daily schedule appears:
7:15 a.m. - Doors open
7:30 a.m. - Tutorials begin (effective August 31st)
7:50 a.m. - Regular instruction begins
8:00 a.m. - Tardy bell rings
3:20 p.m. - School dismissed
Students attending Tutorials will have access to a grab-and-go breakfast from the campus school cafeteria before 7:30 a.m as needed. If arriving before regular instruction begins, students not attending Tutorials will be able to eat breakfast in the cafeteria or remain in designated waiting areas until walking to class for regular instruction.
As a reminder, the schedule for the weeks between the first day of school and August 31st will look exactly the same, without the Tutorials period included.
NEW THIS YEAR: Walking Children to Class
Following the implementation of the Tutorials period, there will be many students receiving instruction on-campus beginning at 7:30 a.m. each school day. In order to limit disruptions to the learning environment, parents will be able to walk their children to class through Friday, August 28th. Starting Monday, August 31st (the day Tutorials will begin), parents will be able to walk their children to the campus cafeteria or other designated waiting areas, and can remain in those areas with their children until regular instruction begins, but will no longer be able to walk their children directly to class. Just before regular instruction begins each day, students will be dismissed to their classrooms in groups by campus staff. Please know that students will be monitored as they transition to classrooms each morning, and parents will still have opportunities to visit with teachers during teacher conference periods and via SeeSaw, email, or telephone during designated call times.
