Survey Survey

Dear Families:

As a world authorized IB school, every five years the school must complete a self-study. Self-study is where the staff, students, families, and community reflect on how well we are doing as a school. Part of this self-study is to gather insights and reflections from our families. The Fridley Preschool would like to invite all of our families to complete the attached survey. The survey is the same in each language so please complete the survey in the language you feel most comfortable with. If you have any questions or need the survey in a different language, please contact Karin Beckstrand, PYP Preschool Coordinator beckstrand@isd14.org or 763-502-5117.

Pyramid Model Family Engagement Pyramid Model Family Engagement

Over the next five years the Fridley Preschool will be engaging in Pyramid Model training with all staff birth to age five. This training will provide staff with strategies related to self regulations for students, modeling behavior strategies and other tools. Part of this training is partnering with families on strategies that can be used at school and at home. Every month we will publish a strategy for families to use at home. If you have any question please call Karin Beckstrand at 763-502-5117.

Helping Your Child Handle Frustration Helping Your Child Handle Frustration

Frustration is a normal part of learning! Young children often feel frustrated when they can’t do something yet, like tying their shoes or saying what they need. This feeling helps them learn new ways to solve problems.

To prevent frustration from turning into anger or tantrums, teach your child two key skills:
✅ Ask for help when something is too hard.
✅ Take a break and try again later.
