End-of-year events highlights from across the district
The end of the school year is always filled with fun events at schools across the district. Here are a few events that have taken place at elementary schools over the last few weeks!
Maple Grove Senior High, Educational Service Center celebrate CBVAT graduates
The Community-Based Vocational Assessment and Training (CBVAT) program provides work-based learning opportunities for students with disabilities to acquire entry-level skills to competently transition from school to community. Students develop communication skills through work exploration experiences, so they may engage in a lifetime of learning. At the end of the school year, students who have been helping out at locations across the district were celebrated ahead of their graduation.
Park Center orchestra students experience guest composer
Visit from Classical Minnesota Public Radio
Classical Minnesota Public Radio made a visit to Park Center Senior High School May 23, bringing in special guest composer Hannah Schendel for an interactive lesson with the school’s orchestra. Schendel is a Brooklyn Center native who currently serves as cover conductor with the Minnesota Orchestra, the music director of the Wayzata Symphony Orchestra and a visiting conductor with the Carleton Orchestra.
