MMS Superstar of the Week
Valerie Ramos, SPED Inclusion, does extraordinary work bridging challenging content and diverse learning needs, ensuring every student has equal access to success in English and History. In English Language Arts, Ms. Ramos breaks down complex texts and turns daunting literature into accessible insights; in History, she brings past eras to life by helping students stay on task and use their accommodations. Attendance and Gradebook in Skyward Family Access
Did you know that public school funding is directly tied to a school's Average Daily Attendance (ADA)? At Murphy, this snapshot is taken during 2nd period.
This year, our campus goal is an attendance rate of 96% or higher, and we need your help to achieve it!
How Families & Students Can Help:
Schedule appointments around 2nd period: Please try to avoid scheduling routine medical or dental visits during this time.
Set morning routines: Encourage students to set reliable alarms so they arrive at school on time and ready to learn.
Head straight to class: Students should proceed directly to their classrooms during passing periods to prevent tardies.
Murphy Mavericks are respectful, responsible, and resilient. Thank you for showing Maverick responsibility by arriving on time every day!
Need to submit an attendance note?
For those unavoidable absences, parents should submit an excuse note in Skyward Family Access.
- Log into Skyward Family Access.
- Choose the Attendance Tile.
- Click the + Add Absence Request on the right side of the screen.
