Looking ahead to the final weeks of the school year, I’m filled with anticipation for our upcoming Graduation celebration which serves as a powerful reminder of the strong foundation we’ve built as a school community. National STEM Honor Society

Freshmen–Juniors: Apply now for NSTEM 2026–2027! Earn community service hours, develop leadership skills, and make an impact through a year-long STEM project. Applications are open at bit.ly/2026NSTEM. Start earning volunteer hours that will count toward the next school year.

Semester Grades & Course Credit

As we approach the end of the school year, please note that 3rd and 4th quarter grades will be averaged to determine the Semester 2 (SEM2) grade.

High school course credit is awarded by semester, with each semester worth 0.5 credit.

  • Students who pass Semester 1 (SEM1) earn 0.5 credit

  • Students who pass Semester 2 (SEM2) earn 0.5 credit

In cases where a student fails one semester of a full-year course, the SEM1 and SEM2 grades may be averaged to determine if the student can still earn the full 1.0 credit for the course. If the combined average is 70 or above, full credit will be awarded.

If you have questions about grades or course credit, please contact your student’s counselor.

End-of-Year Chromebook Reminders

SENIORS

Seniors will return their Chromebooks in the library on May 14 and May 15. Students must return both the Chromebook and the correct charger. We cannot accept teacher cords or off-brand chargers; it must be a Dell brand 65W charger. Before returning the device, students should remove any personal stickers, but they should not remove FISD barcode labels or numbers. If a senior needs to purchase a replacement charger or if their Chromebook is damaged, they must contact Ms. Serna by May 11 so the fee ($20 for chargers) can be added to their account. Adding the fees and paying takes time, so don't wait!

When returning a Chromebook, students should only hand it directly to a staff member in the library who can issue a digital receipt. For seniors, any fees for missing equipment or damages must be paid by May 15 at 4:00 PM. If equipment is not returned or fees are not paid on time, graduation tickets may be withheld, and diplomas may be held until the account is cleared.

Seniors will also lose access to their FISD account, including HAC, Canvas, the student portal, and H Drive, shortly after graduation, though Google access will remain available until January 2027.

STUDENTS IN GRADES 9-11

Students in grades 9–11 should begin checking their Chromebooks now for issues such as missing keys, cracked screens, sound, camera, trackpad, power button, wireless connection, and charger. Any needed repairs should be reported in Incident IQ, and teachers can help students submit a ticket if needed.

Students who are returning to FISD next year should keep their Chromebook and charger, even if they are transferring to another FISD high school. However, families who are moving out of district must return the Chromebook and charger to the library by May 19, and they should be sure to hand it to a staff member who can issue a receipt. Families who decide to leave FISD over the summer will need to return Chromebooks and chargers to the administration building.

The Trail Blazer Tennis Team is home from the 5A State Tournament...and they did not disappoint!

Both our Mixed Doubles Team of Maika Wendt and Saharsh Parvathaneni and our Boy's Singles player, Aaditt Rishi came through day 1 with a win, and made the semi-finals. This made it the FOURTH year in a row that our mixed doubles entry for LT has made the semifinals or better at state.

Maika and Saharsh finished the year and the season with a District Championship, Regional Runner-Up, and a Bronze medal at State. This was their first time qualifying, and they picked up a bunch of hardware this season!

Aaditt, the two-time defending state champion, took it another step further, this time in Boy's singles, and he dominated the draw. He won the 5A Boys' Singles Championship convincingly! This gave Aaditt his THIRD state title and helped him surpass his former teammate and partner for his previous titles, Addison Rosser, for the most decorated Individual Tennis player in FRISCO ISD HISTORY! He finishes his high school career 15-1 at the district level, 16-0 at the regional level, and 10-1 at the state level competitions! It was a historic run, and a high school career that will be followed up by a big time college career at Emory University.

What a night at The Trail.

Our Spring Game brought out an incredible crowd and even better energy as students, families, clubs, teams, and our community came together to celebrate 10 years of Lebanon Trail High School.

From packed stands and big plays to student-run games, booths, and activities across the stadium, the evening was a reminder of what makes LT special: the people.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the night such a success. Ten years in, the Trail Blazer spirit is still growing stronger.

WETA and LTHS PTSA — Empowering Women and Girls Together

We are excited and proud to announce a wonderful partnership between WETA and Lebanon Trail High School! Parent Teacher Student Association.

WETA, an organization with a heart dedicated to empowering women and girls, has generously donated menstrual hygiene kits to our school community. Each kit includes sanitary pads, body wash, and deodorant — thoughtfully assembled to support the health, dignity, and confidence of our young women.

This partnership is a true reflection of what it means to invest in the next generation. When we come together with a shared purpose, we can make a real and lasting difference in the lives of our girls.

Families who may benefit from these kits are warmly encouraged to contact the school office. Every inquiry will be handled with the utmost care and confidentiality.

Thank you WETA for your generous donation and support to LTHS PTSA.

EOY Vacation Scheduling

Every instructional day counts. Unlike in recent years, student grades and assessments will now be collected through the very last week of school. The final instructional day of the 2025-2026 school year is on May 22, 2026. We know that families often plan trips in advance, but please avoid scheduling family travel before that date, as absences can affect learning and final grades.

You can review the 2025-2026 academic calendar here. Thank you for helping your student finish the year strong!

Staff Shout Outs

We encourage you to use this form to nominate a teacher or staff member who you believe deserves special recognition for their contributions. I look forward to sharing your “Staff Shout Outs” with the LT staff.
