From the Principal's Desk

As we come to the close of the semester, I want to take a moment to reflect on all that our students have experienced and accomplished over the past few months. This fall has been filled with learning, growth, and meaningful moments that have made our school community stronger.

This semester our classrooms have been places of learning, curiosity, effort, and connection. Students have worked hard, supported one another, and shown a willingness to try new things as they settled into routines and expectations. Beyond the classroom, students pushed themselves through experiences such as Taylor Challenge, Mill Creek, W Mountain, Outdoor Education and a wide variety of extracurricular activities. We celebrated performances by our drama students, band, and choir, cheered on our athletes through fall sports and the start of winter seasons, and gathered together for community events like Homecoming, our Fall Dance, Ski Extravaganza, service projects that supported our local food pantry and so much more!

This semester also brought exciting changes to our campus with the completion of major construction projects, the opening of our new track, and the addition of Jasmine, our facility dog, who has quickly become a special part of our school community.

I am incredibly thankful for our teachers and staff. Your dedication, care, and commitment to our students do not go unnoticed. Thank you for the long hours, the thoughtful planning, and the relationships you build every day. GMS is the place it is because of you.

As we look ahead, we still have another exciting semester in front of us, full of opportunities for learning, growth, and connection. I am grateful for the partnership we share with our families and community, and I look forward to all that the new year will bring.

Season’s greetings to you and your families, and best wishes for a happy and healthy New Year.

I wanted to take this opportunity to extend my deepest gratitude for our entire community. Thank you for raising incredible kids and sharing them with us. I am so honored to be able to get to know each and every GMS student and I truly believe that we have the best middle school in the country. I also want to thank those of you who give back to our community and take care of each other. We can't always be successful alone, and this village that provides support for our schools is phenomenal. I hope everyone is able to experience some joy, love, laughter, and peace during this holiday season. Please know that we are here for you as well, and if you ever need anything, reach out. I have so many resources that I can share and I love being on your team. Happy holidays, happy new year, and GO, MUSTANGS!
