Principal's Message
Good evening, Yowell families. This is Mrs. Fiscus with your weekly update.
We had another wonderful week at Yowell, and I want to begin by celebrating some fantastic attendance! Congratulations to our fourth graders for winning the Stallion Cup for the month of August and earning a popsicle party. Being at school every day and arriving on time truly makes a difference, and we cannot wait to see which grade level and classrooms earn the honors for September!
Registration is now open for 4th and 5th grade Stallion Singers. If your child loves to sing and would like to participate, please use the sign-up link in this week’s newsletter.
Our Lion King KIDS production is also underway, and we are collecting a few items to help create costumes and props for the show. If you would like to support our students, the Amazon wish list is linked in the newsletter. We appreciate every donation!
We would also love to add more family voices to our Parent Advisory Committee. If you are interested in working alongside our administration to share ideas and provide feedback, you can find the sign-up form in the newsletter.
Finally, we have a busy week of before-school activities. Musical rehearsal begins at 7:30 tomorrow morning. Band and Sports Club meet Tuesday morning, Musical Rehearsal and Art Club meet Wednesday morning, and Sports Club meets again Thursday morning. Please have students arrive on time and ready to participate.

Transportation Information
In an effort to assist schools and parents with current information about bus changes, transportation has added a new item on their website called: Transportation - Morning Update. The direct link can be found here. Also, this is the direct link to transportation.
Parents of students Pre-K through Grade 3 are expected to meet their children at the bus stop. Failure to do so will result in the child(ren) being returned to school. Should you choose to allow your child(ren) to be dropped off without supervision in the afternoon, please fill out and return this document.
We will be posting departure times for buses each day to assist parents with receiving their child from the bus stop. Please check this document each afternoon.

School Resource Officer (SRO)
We are happy to have a School Resource Officer (SRO) this year at Yowell. You can contact Deputy Kameron Buckhanan with any concerns you have with school safety or anything that would be related to criminal activity.
