March Jaguar Journal
March 1, 2026
π Message from Mrs. Morgan π
Itβs hard to believe we are already stepping into the month of March! This time of year always brings excitement as we head into the final stretch of the school year. Our Jaguars continue to work hard each day, and I am so proud of the growth we are seeing both academically and socially.
A few reminders as we head into this month:
-
Please continue encouraging daily attendance. Every instructional day counts!
-
Be on the lookout for communication from teachers regarding upcoming assessments and classroom events.
-
Check Thursday folders and newsletters regularly so you donβt miss important dates.
Letβs make March amazing at SES! π

π» NWEA MAP π»
March 18th: Reading-- March 19th: Math
What MAP helps us do:
-
Monitor student growth in reading and math
-
Identify strengths and areas for support
-
Guide small-group instruction and intervention
-
Plan enrichment opportunities
-
Set academic goals with students
The Spring MAP assessment is especially important because it shows how much progress your child has made this school year.
You can help your child by:
-
Ensuring they get a good nightβs sleep
-
Eating a healthy breakfast
-
Encouraging them to simply do their best

β PBIS β
At Sharon Elementary, we use PBIS β Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports β to help create a safe, respectful, and welcoming school environment where all students can learn and grow. PBIS is a school-wide approach that focuses on teaching and encouraging positive behaviors. Just like students learn math or reading, we believe behavior should be taught, practiced, and celebrated!
As Jaguars, we ROAR. We are Respectful, Organized, Accepting, and Responsible. Please review and remind your child that we want to ROAR every day in the cafeteria, hallways, playground, and in the classroom.
The Third Quarter ROAR Party for Second, Third, Fourth, and Fifth Grade will be held on March 12, 2026. The theme will be Spring Fling, and students will need 195 points to attend.
The February Character trait word is Trustworthiness.
