A Message from the Principal
Hello Falcon Family!
Can you believe it's already November?!? Time flies when you're having fun!
Last Friday morning, we had the most amazing Veterans Day program and breakfast for our CE Veterans and families! Each grade level performed, acknowledging each of the military branches. We had 191 guests sign in! I am so proud of our students for being on their BEST behavior during the performance, and thank you to the staff that made this event happen! Pictures from this event are below, as well as information about upcoming events!
If you have any questions, concerns, or feedback, please contact me at jbovan@ldisd.net or call the school between 8 AM and 4 PM Monday through Friday. We are here to help!
Thank you,

Counselor's Corner
Hi CE Families!
Our holiday food drive is well underway! Thank you for providing nourishment for families in need. We currently have 448 items- almost 1/3 of our goal of 1,500. The last day to donate items is Wednesday, November 20th.
'Tis season for generosity and gratitude. Here are some great gratitude conversation starters for your family to reflect on blessings this month. Our lessons are centered on gratitude with the big message: "You get what you get... and you're thankful for it." I am mindful of students and families who struggle emotionally during the holidays and hope that you will reach out if anyone needs extra support.
Well wishes,
Monica Gonzalez

Possip Pulse Check
Thank you for sharing ideas through Possip this week! We’ve heard from 120 of you so far this year. We are seeing that 96% of you are happy or mostly happy with CORINTH ELEMENTARY this week.
This week we heard members of the community share examples of praise, appreciation, and feedback or questions.
- Appreciation for a curriculum focused on developing leadership skills
- Praise for teachers and staff who are patient and supportive of students
- Feedback about offering more challenging work and support for students who may be above grade level
- Suggestions to require independent reading time for homework
We are taking all of your feedback and ideas into consideration for our future planning and follow-up. We hope to hear from you again on our next Possip Pulse Check!
Thanks again for sharing!
Beanstack Digital Reading Log
This year, all CE students in grades K - 5 are participating in a yearlong reading challenge! We have a campus' WILDLY IMPORTANT READING GOAL to read 1 MILLION MINUTES collectively by May 2025. If we reach this goal as a campus, we will celebrate in a BIG WAY! As of today, we have logged 239, 798 total minutes as a campus.
After meeting with campus team leads and the leadership team, it was decided that students can log their minutes at home! Yay! When your child reads at home in the evenings, have them log their minutes. Most students know how to log their minutes. The little Falcons may need assistance.
When your child reaches their grade level reading goal each month, they will receive a token for our book vending machine! This give students an opportunity to bring home SEVEN books to add to their home libraries!
BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE...
There will also be reading challenges throughout the year set by our librarian and/ or your child's teacher, giving students more opportunities to add books to their libraries at home!
Beanstack also has a Mobile app that students can use to log minutes! Can it get any easier?!
***If you have questions about your child's monthly reading goal, please reach out to their teacher.
