Halloween
Halloween is just around the corner, and we are excited to bring some festive fun to St. Patrick's Community School on Friday, October 30th! We will be having a fun Halloween Dance after lunch on Friday.
Students are welcome to wear a costume or, if they prefer, black and/or orange clothing. We kindly ask that costumes be comfortable for all-day wear, easy to manage without adult assistance, and appropriate for the school.
While the Division does not have an official policy on costumes, we have a few guidelines to ensure everyone feels safe and included:
No masks as part of costumes, though makeup is allowed as long as students remain identifiable.
Costumes should avoid depictions of violence or anything too revealing.
Fake weapons/props are not permitted.
For our older students, we encourage thoughtful costume choices that promote a safe and inclusive environment. Please keep in mind how costumes may impact others in the building. With so many creative ideas, there are endless ways to dress up in fun and school-appropriate ways!
It is not an expectation that you send snacks or treats. A reminder that anything being brought into the school should be nut-free. We wish everyone a Happy Halloween and safe trick-or-treating!
Picture Retake Day
Picture retake day is coming up on October 27, 2026. If your child missed our original picture day or would like their photo retaken please let your child and their teacher know.
