NEWSLETTER | TERM 3 | WEEK 3 | 6 AUG 2026
Dear parents and caregivers,
Today, our school was awash with green as we joyfully celebrated the Feast Day of St Mary of the Cross MacKillop and MacKillop House Day. As Australia’s first saint, St Mary MacKillop remains a remarkable example of faith, compassion, courage and an unwavering commitment to the education of all children, particularly those who were most vulnerable and in need. Our Year Six MacKillop House Captains led a reverent and thoughtful assembly, reflecting on St Mary’s life, her legacy and the values she inspires us to live each day. Throughout the day, students participated in a range of engaging activities with their buddy classes, deepening their understanding of St Mary’s mission and exploring ways they can demonstrate her values through their own actions. In the spirit of St Mary’s generosity and service to others, we are once again supporting Give Write, a charity that collects new and pre-loved stationery and distributes it to children experiencing disadvantage. We thank our families for their ongoing generosity and support of this worthwhile initiative, which helps ensure all children have access to the resources they need to learn and thrive.
This week, I have had the opportunity to spend some time in classrooms, which is always a highlight of my week. It is wonderful to see the learning, engagement and enthusiasm of our students firsthand. During my visits, I noticed that our uniform and presentation standards have slipped slightly. I would like to take this opportunity to remind families to please refer to the uniform expectations outlined on our school website and ensure students are attending school in the correct uniform each day. Over the coming weeks, members of the leadership team will be conducting spot checks and, where necessary, reminders will be sent home to families. We greatly appreciate your support in helping us maintain the high standards of presentation that reflect the pride we take in our school community.
Finally, a reminder that school photos are being held next Monday and Tuesday. Please refer to the information below if you have any queries.
Looking forward to dancing the afternoon and evening away at our P&F ‘Pyjama Disco’ tomorrow night!
Have a wonderful weekend.
God bless

Week 3
Week 4
Dear Families and Caregivers,
Last night, we were delighted to attend our Parent-Child First Holy Communion Workshop, which brought together our Year 4 families from both St Elizabeth's and St Anthony's. It was wonderful to see such a fantastic turnout as parents and children came together to prepare for this special sacramental journey. The evening provided families with the opportunity to deepen their understanding of the Eucharist, spend quality time learning alongside one another and strengthen the partnership between home, school and parish. Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the evening such a meaningful and faith-filled experience.
Our Year 6 Assisi students also enjoyed a special visit to Elderbloom this week. These visits are a beautiful reminder of the importance of compassion, service and living out our school values through meaningful acts of kindness.
Our Year 1 and Year 2 students took part in an engaging and informative Water Corporation incursion this week. Students explored where our water comes from, why it is such a precious resource and the many ways we can all help conserve it. Through hands-on activities and interactive discussions, students were inspired to think about their role in caring for our environment and making sustainable choices each day.
A big thank you to our Pre-Primary families who attended last week's Early Reading Parent Workshop. We were delighted with the wonderful attendance and appreciate the positive feedback. A special thank you to our Pre-Primary staff for the time and effort they put into planning and delivering such an engaging and informative evening.
We wish everyone a wonderful weekend!
God Bless
