Cherrydale Primary School

From the Principal

Happy Wednesday Cherrydale Families!

Get ready to celebrate our amazing readers! This Friday, October 30, we’re wrapping up our PTA Read-a-Thon with a Read-a-Thon Dance Party! A huge shout-out to our Cherrydale PTA for organizing this fun event and helping build a love of reading in our school community.

Dance Party Sessions

3rd Grade: 9:15am - 9:50am
2nd Grade: 9:52am - 10:27am
1st Grade: 10:29am - 11:04am
Kindergarten: 11:06am - 11:41am

Cleared volunteers are welcome to join the fun and help us celebrate our readers!

What to Wear: Students are encouraged to wear their Cherrydale spirit gear! Halloween costumes are also permitted, but please leave masks, props, and any blood or gore at home.

Keep Reading at Home! Thank you to our families for supporting the Read-a-Thon and encouraging reading at home. Reading together—even for just 15–20 minutes a day—helps build vocabulary, strengthen comprehension, and grow confident readers. Keep those pages turning, Cheetahs!

Don't Forget to Fall Back! Daylight Saving Time ends Sunday, November 1. Remember to set your clocks back one hour!

We can’t wait to celebrate our readers with music, dancing, and lots of Cheetah spirit!

Warm Regards,

Principal Firth

Rocket's Latest Adventures

Did you know Cherrydale has its very own cheetah named Rocket? Each spring, our school raises funds to support Rocket through the Cheetah Conservation Fund, helping protect these amazing animals.

Check out the video to see Rocket and his new friend, Aurora, and read a special thank-you message from the Cheetah Conservation Fund.

A huge thank you to your wonderful school, teachers, and students for your amazing annual support! We are so grateful for your continued fundraising efforts and dedication to cheetah conservation.

We hope your staff and students enjoy seeing the impact of their hard work!

Thank you, Cherrydale, for making a difference for Cheetahs!

It is important the district receives one completed form for every student - whether or not their parents/guardians live or work on federal property - because each completed form generates revenue for the district.
