VAKS Clinic Flu Shots

VAKS Clinic will again provide flu shots to our students.

DATE: Oct 21st

TIME: 8:30-9:30

Virtual Students may participate and will be our first group at 8:30 a.m. Parents, please park and walk in with your student. Parents will then wait outside until their student has finished.

FORM: All students participating must have a completed form. Please complete the form and send it to your homeroom teacher. Virtual students may bring this with them but should email the nurse to let her know you will be participating. pburrough@mcssk12.org.

Bus Changes

We have a bus driver who will be out until Oct 30th.

We are working together as a TEAM to ensure all students are transported to and from school safely. When a driver has to be out, a driver, from our school or another school in our area, serves as the substitute for the driver. We believe the plan that we have put into place today will be the best plan for this period of time, with the least amount of delays. We apologize for any issues this afternoon and believe tomorrow will run a bit smoother. Please be patient as we find the best way to make all of this work for our families. Please make note of the following:

From Oct. 19th - Oct 30th

Students on Bus 10-36 will ride bus 11-71.

Students who ride bus 11-71 will ride bus 21-15 or bus 18-02.

Some delays in morning or afternoon routes may take place.

Students Returning 2nd Quarter

Students who plan to return to traditional school for 2nd quarter will begin on Oct. 26th. Our virtual teachers will continue to work with virtual students, therefore, those returning will have another teacher. The current virtual teacher will send you the name of your new teacher as soon as this information is available. We should have this by Wednesday or Thursday of this week. Look for an email from your teacher.

Half Days

Half Days on Nov 4th and Dec 9th were added to the district's calendar at the last board meeting.

Half days will dismiss at 11:30.

Lunch will be served.

We will have after school care for those who are enrolled in our ASC program. All other students must be picked up before 11:45 a.m.

Picture Day - MAKE UP

Picture make-up day for the Fall is November 3rd. Virtual students may also participate. A schedule will be sent home for virtual students by the virtual teacher. Please look for this closer to make-up picture day.

Chromebook Return

Students returning to school on October 26th, who borrowed Chromebooks for remote learning, should bring these to school with them on their first day back. Please send the charger to school also.
