Greetings, Warrior Families!

The fall weather has definitely set in as we move into November. This is one of my favorite times of the year! The temperature is finally cooler in the morning and beautiful during the day. The fall colors are in full swing, and the holidays that are focused on family, gratitude, and caring are upon us. We have much to be grateful for here at PHS. We have a wonderful, caring staff from our custodians, paraprofessionals, and office staff, to all of our teachers. I am grateful every day for the opportunity to work with all of them! We have supportive parents and community members with a giving and engaged PTSA at the forefront. We all say thank you for all that you do to make Pieper High the incredible school that it is.

Today, we wished the Pieper Band of Warriors off for the UIL State Marching Band Competition happening early on Monday morning. This is an incredible feat for the marching band to reach this level of competition. We wish them best of luck on all of their performances this coming weekend, especially Monday morning at the UIL Class 5A State Championship Prelims. The UIL Performance takes place inside the Alamodome, Monday November 6th at 10:00 a.m..

A Look Ahead

Counselors have begun working with students through advising sessions, to review their interests, and begin the planning process for the 24-25 school year and beyond.

Scheduled advising sessions will be 15-20 minutes in length, and will be covering topics such as:

• Course offerings for the 24-25 school year and 4-year plans

• CTE Programs of Study, Advanced Academics, and Co-Curricular opportunities

• Post Secondary Plans

Advising sessions for Pieper High School will be scheduled as listed below:

October 16th - November 3rd - 11th Grade

November 6th - November 30th - 10th Grade

December 4th - January 12th - 9th Grade

We would like to invite you as a parent/guardian to attend your student’s advising session either in-person, virtually, or by phone. Please contact your student's counselor to set up an appointment.

The Class of 2024 will re-open the sales of Senior dues ($50), which includes the grey t-shirt, and the extra purple senior shirt ($10) on Monday, October 9th at 12:00am. We will close the sales of dues and the extra purple shirts on Friday, October 27th at 11:59pm.

The first order of shirts has been delivered and students who have paid their dues prior to September 29th can pick up their t-shirts from either Mrs. Cox in Room A417, or Mrs. Robison in Room B410, beginning October 12th. If we need to order more of both shirts, that second order will be placed after the closure of sales on October 27th. Thank you all for your support and encouragement you provide to our "First Class."
