The Weekly Hoot

I hope you all had a wonderful spring break. This time of year always seems to speed up!

What a busy week it has been. It is always a special day when a life-sized humpback whale inhabits the gym. A big thank you to The Whalemobile for the exciting experience of being inside a whale. We also enjoyed the whole school field trip to the Boston Science Museum. Be sure to ask your kids about both of these events; I am sure they will have exciting things to share.

To our wonderful parents: I am not sure there are enough words to express just how appreciated we all felt this week. From the treats on Monday and the taco lunch on Tuesday to breakfast on Wednesday, the new garden planted, and the flower bar on Friday—we have truly been spoiled. We are blessed every day to work with your children, and we felt extra blessed this week by your kindness. TES is a very special place!

The annual Children and the Arts festival is on on Saturday, May 16 in Peterborough. TES students have been making individual art items to bring with them if families choose to join us for the parade at noon. Also, we will again have an art display in the Mariposa Museum windows.

This year, all TES students helped create a giant owl float named Tessie! We need volunteers- adults and children- to help Tessie travel the parade route with our TES group (she's on wheels). So, we need you to join us marching with Tessie and our students. In order to make sure Tessie and TES is represented, I need at least four people to commit to being there. Kindly reach out to either Kimberly or me so we can make sure Tessie gets a chance to show off her feathers to the crowd.
