Daily Announcements
Every morning, our students receive the daily announcements in English and Spanish. Visit our slides at any time to learn more about our student announcements. The slides are updated each weekend for the following week, but updates can happen daily. Vaccine Clinic
The County Health Department will be at several District 86 schools to provide vaccinations for students. On Tuesday, 5.27.26, 3p-6p, Gompers will host our clinic. We will also be available during that time to help any families with registration for 2025-2026. Make plans to attend so your student has these requirements met and not be excluded from school in the fall.

We currently have 54% of our returning students registered. These students are:
- entered in a daily drawing to win prizes at lunch.

- entered into a weekly drawing to win a $40 to $80 gift card to Walmart or Aldi thanks to a generous donor (see below).

Extra Graduation Tickets
We've had a few requests for additional graduation tickets. Unfortunately, additional tickets are not available. The exact amount of tickets were ordered for each family to receive two tickets. The 8th grade students will receive their cap & gown on Friday, 5.30.25, at the end of the day. Graduation tickets will be sent home with students on Monday, 6.2.25, after graduation practices. Please ensure your 8th grade student is present these days.
Please note that if tickets are lost or stolen, there are no ticket replacements available. Each person regardless of age (infant to senior citizens) must have a ticket to be admitted to the ceremony. Please plan accordingly so admission can flow efficiently and quickly for all families to enjoy the ceremony.

Attendance Matters!
Intentionally monitoring your student's attendance can prevent unnecessary absences, especially at this point in the school year. Here are some tips to help you with your students at home.
- Monitor your student's attendance record and address any patterns of absenteeism.
- If you notice a pattern of absences, address the underlying causes and work with us to find solutions.
- If your student is struggling with attendance, seek help from our school counselors, social workers, or other support personnel.
Technology Information for Eighth Grade Students
- Eighth Grade Students are encouraged to use Google Takeout to save files to a personal account before Friday, June 13, 2025 when eighth grade technology accounts will be disabled.
- The District will begin releasing 8th grade graduate Chromebooks from our management system during the week of June 16, 2025.
