Caragher's Corner
Afternoon GBS Parents/Guardians,
A lot going on for our GBS students this week. Most of our 8th grade students are on the DC trip, enjoying the variety of different sights, others staying local and doing a variety of different projects. Track meets, baseball and softball games, and Earth Day clean up. A busy end to the month of April!
Two important notes:
- Please be sure to have your students bring water bottles on Monday, the town is flushing the water mains which will turn the water here at GBS (and around town) brown.
- NH SAS ELA starts on Tuesday 5/6.
Have a great week and enjoy the pictures below!
Sincerely,
Adam Caragher
DC PARENTS

For Parents of Students with an IEP
Dear parents,
As part of our commitment to providing the best possible support and resources for students receiving special education services, we invite you to participate in the annual Parent Involvement survey conducted by the New Hampshire Department of Education (NHED).
This brief survey is to gauge the level of parent involvement in our schools and how it contributes to improving services and outcomes for children with special education. The survey window is April 11, 2025 until May 23rd, 2025. All responses are anonymous.
To access the survey, visit this NHDOE website.
Please complete a separate survey for each child receiving special education services in your family. Thank you for your continued support and involvement in your child's education.

Opportunity at CVHS next year for 8th Graders
The ConVal High School Science Department is planning the next study trip to Belize for February 21 - March 1, 2026. This opportunity is open to students who are in good standing and belong to the CVHS classes of 2026-2029. During their time in Belize students will be immersed in tropical ecology studies. They will assist scientists with bat and turtle research, collect data on rainforest, stream, and coral reef health, design and carry out their own research projects, and participate in community service. There will be an informational meeting on Tuesday, May 6th at 6:30 p.m. in the ConVal High School Library to discuss details of the trip including itinerary, costs, and what to expect. Students who went on the Belize 2024 trip will also be there to share their experiences. If you are unable to attend but would like more information, please contact Carol Young, Science Department Leader, at cyoung@conval.edu.
