Caragher's Corner
Good Afternoon Parents/Guardians,
Another great week for learning at Great Brook School!
This week we had a lot of different learning opportunities that were captured in photos below. We also continued our discussion on respect and what it means in relation to how we treat each other. Be sure to ask your students what they have done to demonstrate respect towards their peers.
Our next step in rolling out respect is going to be an interactive game we call the Bobcat RaoR (Random acts of Respect). In this game our students will be given a mission to complete an act of respect during their advisory period. They then have 48 hours to complete their mission and report out on what they did to help show respect to another.
As we move further into the winter weather, I would like to remind everyone to bring warm clothes! There were quite a few days at recess this week which would certainly qualify as being frosty and we all know that the snow will be coming in no time. We will continue to go outdoors for recess unless the temperature is 10 degrees or lower. Please be prepared!
We have some great events that will be coming soon. Our Band and Chorale Concert are on 12/14 beginning at 6:30, please come by and check out all the hard work that our students have been putting in this year. The week before vacation is Spirit Week, see the different dress days listed below in the calendar information.
We hope that you have a great weekend!
