A Message from Dr. Holt A Message from Dr. Holt

Dear RFISD Families and Staff,

As we wrap up April and look ahead to May, excitement is building across Randolph Field ISD! This is one of the busiest—and most rewarding—times of the school year, and I’m proud of all that our students and staff have accomplished so far.

We are especially excited for our state competitions coming up. Our talented track athletes will compete at the state meet on May 1st, and later in the month, our incredible UIL academic competitors will head to the state competition on May 19th and 20th. We are proud of each student who has worked so hard to reach this level, and we know they will represent RFISD with excellence and pride.

While we were looking forward to our district-wide community service day on May 2nd, we've made the difficult decision to cancel the event due to predicted rain and saturated grounds from previous storms. In addition to the safety of our volunteers being at the forefront of our minds, a large number of the projects involved painting parking spots across the base, which, unfortunately, cannot be completed with the standing water already impacting many of the areas we were tasked with painting. That said, a variety of the originally planned service project tasks will still happen in the future through individual campus groups. We look forward to seeing the positive impact these efforts will have across our community, and we appreciate your understanding in our decision to cancel Friday's event.

As we move into the final weeks of the school year, there is so much to celebrate. From award ceremonies and end-of-year concerts to promotions and, of course, graduation for our class of 2025 seniors, May is filled with events that highlight our students’ hard work, growth, and achievements. I encourage everyone to take time to celebrate these moments—you have earned them!

Thank you for your continued support and partnership. Let’s finish this year strong and continue making RFISD a place where every student can thrive.

Warmest Regards,

Brian Holt, EdD

Superintendent

Also, please be sure to follow our official RFISD Facebook page if you aren't already. You can find the page by clicking on the "F" above, or you can search Facebook for "Randolph Field Independent School District." The Randolph Elementary School Facebook page and the Randolph Secondary Schools Facebook page will be phasing out, as we continue to fully transition to ParentSquare as our primary communication tool; however, the RFISD Facebook page will continue to remain active moving forward!

Thank you to all of the students, parents, and teachers who post wonderful pictures that we often use in our district newsletters. We are also especially grateful to Grunt Peterson Studios for generously sharing their talent with us by photographing so many of our athletic events throughout the year and providing the Randolph community access to those pictures free of charge.
