Second Semester Course Correction Deadline Second Semester Course Correction Deadline

Second semester starts soon! Please review your student's schedule immediately.

The deadline for all course corrections is Friday, January 9.

How to Request a Change

  • Now - Come see your counselor between class periods or during lunch.

  • First week of 2nd semester (January 5-9, 2026) - Students must come to the Student Center IN-PERSON to see their counselor during the class period they wish to change. Do not email—in-person requests are required for a faster process.

Reasons to See Your Counselor (Must-Change Items)

Students should see a counselor if they:

  • Missing a core course (English, Math, Science, Social Studies).

  • Have an incomplete schedule (fewer than 7 periods).

  • Need to repeat a required failed class.

  • Are scheduled for a course they have already passed for credit.

  • Were accepted into a WSD special program (CAPS, Dual Enrollment, etc.) and it's missing.

  • Need a specific course for College Admissions or NCAA eligibility.

  • Do not have the prerequisite for a scheduled course.

Reasons NOT to See Your Counselor (Denied/Different Process)

Counselors will not process requests for:

  • Non-academic changes (e.g., wanting a different elective). These will be denied.

  • Changing teachers.

  • Release Time, Dual Enrollment, or Flex: Pick up required special forms in the Student Center during the first week of Sem 2.

  • Changing Course Level (e.g., Geometry to Honors Geometry): You must get teacher permission first. The current teacher will fill out a form for your counselor if the level change is approved.

Future Planning: Our team will begin 2026-2027 scheduling with students in January. Stay tuned!
