Wiggin Street Parent Update
January 12, 2026
Better Together
Dear Families,
Happy New Year! The new year brings a familiar face returning to Wiggin Street. Mrs. Vipperman, Intervention Specialist, will return 1/2 days, mornings only, starting Tuesday, January 13th. We have truly appreciated Mrs. Horn subbing in that position this year and wish her the best as she transfers to Twin Oak Elementary.
We would like to remind you that there will be no school today due to a Teacher Work Day or this coming Monday, January 19th, which is Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Today marked the end of the 9 weeks. Students who earned 50 PBIS points with no major referrals have already signed up to attend the PBIS Reward Assembly with Jim “Basketball” Jones! I have included a pre-order form for signed books that will be delivered the day of the assembly. Students will also bring home a hard copy of the order form on Tuesday. Please have the forms returned by Thursday morning. Thank you!
The Wiggin Street 2025–26 Yearbook sale is now live. The deadline to place orders is Friday, January 30th. A link and QR code to order can be found below.
If you signed your child up for the Take Action Project, Art Around the World with Lily Grace, the first session will take place next Thursday. There is still time to sign up, and spots are still available.
Lastly, enjoy the pictures from this week’s 5th Grade Virtual Zoo. There were some very creative accessories, and our younger students enjoyed spending time with the 5th graders while learning interesting facts. Some of us adults even learned a few new and interesting facts as well!
Have a great weekend,
Christy Grandstaff
Jim Basketball Jones Coming January 16th!
Please have pre-order forms turned in by Thursday, January 15th for these autographed copies of books written by Jim and his wife, Brenda!

Winter Weather
Please remember that students will go outside on days where the temperature with wind chill accounted for is 20°f and above. Be sure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather each day. Coats, hats, and gloves are necessary at this time of the year. Boots are required for playing in the snow. If you need assistance with winter outerwear for your child, please contact our school, and we will happily find warm clothes for them.
