MagicSchool has content designed specifically for teachers and for students.

Teacher tools are designed to expedite and streamline the teacher's workload. When teachers use MagicSchool, it's a good idea to provide their own vetted content so that the results are more reliable and in line with what they want to convey to students. When items are created with MagicSchool, they can attach class notes, a slide deck of unit content or a trusted web address. Some of the more popular student tools are:

  • Multiple-Choice Quiz/ Assessment: Create a multiple choice assessment based on standards or teacher given criteria.
  • Text Rewriter: Take text and rewrite it to suit different needs, tone, etc.
  • Depth of Knowledge (DOK) Questions: Explore the different levels of questioning based on a given topic or standard.
  • Unit Plan Generator: Create a unit outline based on academic standards.
  • Text Proofreader: Correct your work for grammar, spelling, punctuation & clarity.

Student Tools are designed to help guide students through a multitude of processes. Students only have access to customized tools that teachers give them in "Student Rooms." Teachers can see who has joined the room, their activity level, all iterations of their work, and whether any content has been flagged. All tools can be customized for specific grade levels and to address specific purposes. Some of the more popular student tools are:

  • College & Career Counselor: Ask any questions about college or careers to this helpful chatbot
  • Quiz Me: Quiz yourself on any Topic
  • Language Learning Tutor: Interact with a language tutor who can help you learn a new language
  • Study Bot: Use AI as a study partner for any exam or topic with this chatbot
  • Translate It: Take any text and translate it instantly
  • Research Assistant: Find information & resources for a research project

As you know, students only have access to MagicSchool tools based on what their teachers want them to use, but did you know that MagicSchool rooms are now built directly into the Canvas platform as an extended tool? Canvas teachers can also grade student work in Speedgrader. For those curious Google Classroom users, never fear! You can integrate the link from "Share join info" (found in the skinny snowman at the end of each room) into the Google Classroom course.
